Money On My Mind - Sam Smith

Money On My Mind - Sam SmithMoney On My Mind - Sam SmithMoney On My Mind, that's what is apparently going through the head of Sam Smith. But you wouldn't know this by looking at the cover of his single. Instead you would think that some kind of impressionist art was on his mind. Let's help you out Mr Smith, when you have money on your mind, you need to see the money. Oh, and as we are sure that as a pop star you have women chasing you everywhere, you will no doubt have a couple of sexy chicks on your mind. Put the two together and what do you get - a remix. Noted!

Hey - did you know that is is the 500th cover of an album or single that we have remixed at AllBum.Art. That surely calls for a celebration of some kind. Here, Sam, hows about lending us those babes on your single remix…?

Groovin' - The Young Rascals

Groovin' - The Young RascalsGroovin' - The Young RascalsThe Young Rascals would have us all a-Groovin' and a-moovin' no doubt if they could, in their wacky way. How do we know they groove in a wacky way, well the cover of their single suggests this as the band members sprawl around in a myriad of elevations and angles. The remix shows a bunch of young folk, groovin away at a party. Are they rascals though? It looks like it - they're partying with no clothes on. Jiggly!

You Should Be Dancing - Bee Gees

You Should Be Dancing - Bee GeesYou Should Be Dancing - Bee GeesWhat you doin' in your pants? That's the question that the Bee Gees ask in this 1976 single You Should Be Dancing. Now the question that needs asking of this question is, do they mean what is it that it is that you are doing in your pants, or do they mean why on earth are you wearing pants at all. The original cover of the single does not answer this question. The remix points to one possible outcome as we see two naked chicks dancing. Without their pants. Knickerless!

Slow Hand - Pointer Sisters

Slow Hand - Pointer SistersSlow Hand - Pointer SistersI need a lover with a Slow Hand. I need a lover with an Easy Touch. Is that so? Well the cover of this Pointer Sisters single doesn't indicate what the slow hand is needed for, or why an easy touch is essential. The remix, on the other hand, does! We can see two girls, or 'sisters', whose hands are definitely pointing to somewhere that needs an easy touch. Don't move them too fast girls, easy does it now. Gentle!

Reunited - Peaches And Herb

Reunited - Peaches And HerbReunited - Peaches And HerbAah, the soulful tones of Peaches And Herb tell of how they want to be Reunited. But to all intents and purposes, the cover of their single shows a couple that seem as if they were never parted. United, probably. Reunited, maybe questionably. The remix has some of this contretemps (to use a posh word) but suggests that the girl has been separated from her man and is making some effort to lure him back. He seems somewhat disinterested. How's about sending her our way then and although we have not met before, we would be happy to be united in any way on offer. Rejuvenated!

Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' - Michael Jackson

Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' - Michael JacksonWanna Be Startin' Somethin' - Michael JacksonOur recent theme of requited lust continues with today's remix of Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' by none other than Michael Jackson. The original cover sees the eponymous Mr Jackson standing. What is it he wants to start? Why does he want to start it? Who does he want to start it with? Is it someone else that wants to start it with him? None of those questions are answered. In the remix, all of them are answered. An intimate relationship is what wants to start, of this there is no doubt. And who is it that wants to start it? Is it the older lady who has made her intentions clear? Or is it the younger guy who never looks a gift horse in the mouth, at least not with his face anyway? Begin!

Do You Want It Right Now - Degrees Of Motion

Do You Want It Right Now - Degrees Of MotionDo You Want It Right Now - Degrees Of MotionFollowing on from yesterday's theme of relationships that probably shouldn't be, today we have a remix of Do You Want It Right Now by Degrees Of Motion. The original cover gives absolutely no indication of what the song is about. None at all. The remix places us in a mighty difficult situation. What appears to be on offer is a handsomely busty, older lady. And it is very and completely clear what it is that she is offering right now. So the question is… Do you want it? Decisions!

Ever Fallen In Love With Someone (You Shouldn't've) - The Buzzcocks

Ever Fallen In Love With Someone (You Shouldn't've) - The BuzzcocksEver Fallen In Love With Someone (You Shouldn't've) - The Buzzcocks1970s pre-apocolyptic punk group The Buzzcocks are trying to issue a cautionary tale in their single Ever Fallen In Love With Someone (You Shouldn't've). What they are trying to say is be careful. It can be easy to be led astray. Sadly the cover of their single does not help us to picture such a situation. Happily, the remix of the cover does help us to picture such a situation. In it we see a young lad, at the mercy of a larger, older lady. He probably shouldn't take things any further, but that decision might already be out of is hands, and in his trousers. Bulging!

Ain't No Sunshine - Bill Withers

Ain't No Sunshine - Bill WithersAin't No Sunshine - Bill WithersAin't No Sunshine according to Bill Withers. But he could have fooled us, as there he sits on the porch of a house and it's not dark. Now of course, there could be floodlights but the quality of light suggests that it is being lit naturally (or so says our lighting guru Ian here at AllBum.Art). The remix does away with this confusion and instead an angel of darkness has cast a total shadow over proceedings, casting out any daylight in favor of dark lonely days. Dingy!

Frozen - Madonna

Frozen - MadonnaFrozen - MadonnaTired of all these sunny summer songs, well here's something to cool you right down. Frozen was a hit for Madonna in the late 1990s. On the original cover we see Ms Ciccone but is she looking even slightly cold? No. Does she seem chilly? No. Even a little tepid? Maybe. Thankfully the remix resolves these issues and instead we see a woman who is positively icicles. Not only is she naked in the snow, but she has been tied up so that her very delicate areas are in close contact with the frozen ground. Solid!
