Cover Artwork Remix of Kay Martin I Know What He Wants For Xmas Original Cover Artwork of Kay Martin I Know What He Wants For Xmas So are we now far enough into December to start thinking about Christmas? You betcha! The first of our seasonal sounds for this year is I Know What He Wants For Christmas (But I Don't Know How To Wrap It) by Kay Martin And Her Body Guards. We like Ms Martin's approach to this and can see clearly what it is that she is trying to wrap. On the remix we find a more modern babe in a very similar predicament. Just an update of an old classic. Tinsel!

Puppet On A String - Sandie Shaw

Cover Artwork Remix of Sandie Shaw Puppet On A String Original Cover Artwork of Sandie Shaw Puppet On A String Sandie Shaw sings about a Puppet On A String, but on the cover of her single there is only a picture of Ms Shaw. There is no sign of any puppet and nor is there any indication of the string on which the puppet is strung. On the remix we find a babe tied up with string, or at least tied up with something, and dangling from a rope. So the only question that remains is whether or not she is a puppet. Then again, perhaps that question really doesn't need an answer, just enjoy. Marionette!

Fire Brigade - The Move

Cover Artwork Remix of The Move Fire Brigade Original Cover Artwork of The Move Fire Brigade Having seen our recent The Move regular contributor Phil Darnall of England sent us this remix of Fire Brigade. Phil tells us that in England on 5 November there are lots of fires built and burned all over the country to celebrate the fact that the government was not burned down in the sixteenth century. Those crazy Brits and their wacky history. On the original single cover artwork we see the band looking nothing if not cold. On the remix we find two babes desperately in need of the fire brigade as they appear to be stuck on a burning boat. Bonfire!

Sunny Afternoon - The Kinks

Cover Artwork Remix of Kinks Sunny Afternoon Original Cover Artwork of Kinks Sunny Afternoon October may be upon us but that doesn't mean grey days and rainy afternoons all the time, there is still room for the odd Sunny Afternoon and so what better time to remix this cover from The Kinks. On the original artwork is one of those 'let's show off the band' types but is it sunny, or even in the afternoon? It's very unclear. On the remix we find a variety of babes sunning themselves. How do we know this is in the afternoon? It's clear - the position of the sun in the sky. How could you not know that? Sundial!

I (Who Have Nothing) - Shirley Bassey

Cover Artwork Remix of Shirley Bassey I Who Have Nothing Original Cover Artwork of Shirley Bassey I Who Have Nothing Shirley Bassey sings about someone for who the phrase I (Who Have Nothing) is apparently applicable. On the original cover artwork we find Ms Bassey but she seems to have quite a lot - a dress, some jewelry, an expensive hairdo. On the remix we find a babe who also seems to have an expensive hairdo, but who otherwise has nothing, including, it would appear, any bosom to speak of. Flatly!

Hi-Heel Sneakers - Tommy Tucker

Original Cover Artwork of Tommy Tucker Hi Heel Sneakers Cover Artwork Remix of Tommy Tucker Hi Heel Sneakers Cover Artwork Remix of Tommy Tucker Hi Heel Sneakers
Tommy Tucker sings about Hi-Heel Sneakers on his single and album both of the same name. To give credit where it is due, on the original cover artwork, Mr Tucker is dancing with a babe who appears to be wearing some sneakers with a high heel. We are not sure if these were a thing in 1964 or whether he made the whole thing up. In the 2010's however, there are high heel sneakers and thus on the two remixes, we find different babes wearing the aforementioned sneakers with a heel. Well to be truthful, the first babe is not wearing sneakers in the traditional sense but we very much thought her shoes looked a lot like high heel sneakers. In the second remix the babe is definitely wearing sneakers with a bit of a heel on them, but, it would seem, very little else. Trainers!

Original Cover Artwork of Guy Marks Loving You Has Made Me Bananas Cover Artwork Remix of Guy Marks Loving You Has Made Me Bananas Cover Artwork Remix of Guy Marks Loving You Has Made Me Bananas
Loving You Has Made Me Bananas, or so sings Guy Marks. As if to demonstrate this, the original cover shows Mr Marks standing impossibly inside the skin of a banana that is being unpeeled by a sexy sixties babe. On the first remix we see a more modern mistress eating a banana. On the second remix... well, we'll leave to to look and see what is being done with all those bananas, but whatever it is, it is enough to make anyone go mad. Stuffed!

Painter Man - The Creation

Cover Artwork Remix of The Creation Painter Man Original Cover Artwork of The Creation Painter Man Painter Man by The Creations is perhaps better know for the cover version by Boney M. And the reason why may be clear from the cover of the single. On the original artwork we find the members of the band, standing around looking moody (why do so many bands think that this makes for a good cover?) On the remix we find a mature lady standing in front of a painting. Where is the man that is referred to in the title you ask? Easy, he's behind the behind of the lady, taking the picture and will do some painting shortly. Easel!

When You Walk In The Room - The Searchers

Cover Artwork Remix of The Searchers When You Walk In The Room Original Cover Artwork of The Searchers When You Walk In The Room What happens When You Walk In The Room? According to The Searchers original single cover artwork, it is that everything turns a shade of cyan. Really? Is that the most likely thing to happen? On the remix we see what happens when a babe walks into the room, the jaw of the guy looking at her drops to the floor. Perhaps she should have put some clothes on first? Stroll!

Maggie's Farm - Bob Dylan

Cover Artwork Remix of Bob Dylan Maggies Farm Original Cover Artwork of Bob Dylan Maggies Farm Bob, Bob, Bob... If you are going to sing about Maggie's Farm, at least show us on the original artwork, some idea of what Maggie looks like and what she does on her farm. Sadly it seems that Bob Dylan was more concerned with putting his own face on the front cover of his single. On the remix, we have corrected this omission and you will find that the unique feature of Maggie's farm is that she works largely naked, other than some impractical high heels. And a wheelbarrow. Naturally!
