There are two things basically wrong with the original cover artwork for Footprints In The Snow by Johnny Duncan And The Blue Grass Boys. Firstly there is no sign of the Blue Grass Boys, only Mr Duncan is visible. Secondly, and most importantly, there is no snow and related to that, there are no footprints either. The remix rectifies this second point as we find that there are many footprints in the snow and we can also see the babe who has made them. Chilling!
For Christmas Day, what better than to remix an old seasonal classic as our gift to you. Here is Greg Lake with I Believe In Father Christmas. The original cover is festive in its own way, but leaves many questions unanswered, the main one being who is it that believes in old Santa Claus. The remix provides us with one answer, that being a cute young babe, sat by her Christmas tree, waiting for presents to be delivered. It may not be who Mr Lake was singing about, but it really doesn't matter. Happy Holiday!
Christmas is almost upon us, and so we send you a Christmas Card. That being said, the card has been prepared by The Temptations and their version of the card had a drawing of them singing. Our card to you has remixed this and has a group of babes bursting out of your and their Christmas stockings. An apt card for you from us here at AllBum.Art. Merry!
Happy Holiday is just one of the many classic seasonal songs on the Christmas Collection by Andy Williams. On the original cover we find Mr Williams smiling at us amidst a wintery scene evidenced by a few fuzzy snowflakes. On the remix we find a collection that we think would make Mr Williams proud - a collection - that is - of beautiful babes dressed in very festive outfits. A collection that makes the Christmas spirit flow, deep and crisp and heaven. Divisive!
It is sometimes easy to forget that there are many places around the world where Christmas is not presented with scenes of snow and ice, but instead of hot weather, bikinis and beaches. We speak, of course, of the southern hemisphere, where Christmas falls at the start of summer instead of the beginning of winter. In countries south of the equator, it may therefore be perfectly normal to spend Christmas In The Sand and perhaps that is where Colbie Caillat got her idea from. We hope she won't mind too much if we remix her album cover and replace her on the sand, with an alternative babe in a festive bikini. Sunshine!
A minor holiday hit from British musical maestro Elton John, Cold As Christmas (In The Middle Of The Year) sees the aforementioned Mr Dwight playing his piano infront of a windy looking desert backdrop, the lid of his piano reflecting what looks like a swimming pool. Cold and christmassy it's not. The remix shows what a Christmas might look like if it was in the middle of the year - so cold that you could wear your bikini and paddle around in the sea. Happy!
Album Covers, Albums Of The 1980s, Special Remixes, Christmas Crackers, Fantasy & Cosplay, Safe For WorkWhat exactly is a Hard Candy Christmas, as sung to us by Dolly Parton? If the original cover of this festive track tells us anything related to this question, it is that Ms Parton thinks that wearing a Santa outfit and standing in snow-filled scenery is meant to answer it. The remix shows what a real hard candy xmas might be like, with a babe whose chilly bits are only covered by candy that, in the cold, would be very hard indeed... and the candy. Brittle!
We, here at AllBum.Art kind of like the original cover of Tinsel And Lights by Tracey Thorn, largely because it has on it both lights, and tinsel. But that doesn't mean there isn't room for a remix, and in the remix we still find the tinsel that was present in the original artwork, there is still evidence that there are lights shining somewhere as they are being glinted off the tinsel. The main difference is only the presence of a busty babe who is wearing the tinsel, and very little else it would appear. Shunkle!
Single Covers, Singles Of The 1970s, Special Remixes, Christmas Crackers, Outdoors, Not Safe For WorkThe thing about providing remixes of Christmas songs is that you have to find cover artwork to remix. What never ceases to amaze us (and this is the third Christmas here at AllBum.Art) is the sheer number of seasonal songs that there are. Whilst we wouldn't call It's Gonna Be A Cold Cold Christmas by Dana as a holiday hit, it does make good material for a remix. The remix gives an idea of what a cold Christmas might look like, at least for the poor naked yet colorful babe who has to spend it stuck outside in the snow. Icicles!
Winter is just around the corner so it seems appropriate to remix Shiver by Natalie Imbruglia. It seems, though, that Ms Imbruglia was a little lost for ideas on her original cover artwork as all that it depicts is herself, in black and white. The remix shows a woman for whom shiver is something that is beyond the obvious, for not only is she outside in the cold, but she is covered in snow, and appears to be wearing naught but a denim jacket. Shiver doesn't do it justice. Hypothermia!
