greg lake i believe in father christmas remixgreg lake i believe in father christmas 1For Christmas Day, what better than to remix an old seasonal classic as our gift to you. Here is Greg Lake with I Believe In Father Christmas. The original cover is festive in its own way, but leaves many questions unanswered, the main one being who is it that believes in old Santa Claus. The remix provides us with one answer, that being a cute young babe, sat by her Christmas tree, waiting for presents to be delivered. It may not be who Mr Lake was singing about, but it really doesn't matter. Happy Holiday!

It's Gonna Be A Cold Cold Christmas - Dana

dana cold cold christmas remixdana cold cold christmas 1The thing about providing remixes of Christmas songs is that you have to find cover artwork to remix. What never ceases to amaze us (and this is the third Christmas here at AllBum.Art) is the sheer number of seasonal songs that there are. Whilst we wouldn't call It's Gonna Be A Cold Cold Christmas by Dana as a holiday hit, it does make good material for a remix. The remix gives an idea of what a cold Christmas might look like, at least for the poor naked yet colorful babe who has to spend it stuck outside in the snow. Icicles!

Father Christmas Do Not Touch Me - The Goodies

goodies father christmas do not touch me 2goodies father christmas do not touch me 1Always nice to receive a user submitted entry, especially at Christmas. This one comes from Mike Stacey of Mansfield, England. Mike takes up the story:
The Goodies were a bunch of nutters who had a TV show. The gist of the song Father Christmas Do Not Touch Me is that 'he's a most immoral Santa', so I thought I'd make him immoral and a babe that he should definitely leave his hands off, so there's more for the rest of us.

Thanks Mike, a nice remix and a happy Christmas to all of our viewers in little ole England. Yum yum!

Please Come Home For Christmas - Eagles

eagles please come home for christmas remixeagles please come home for christmas 1The Eagles were one of our featured week artists in 2015, so it seems appropriate to have another remix of their cover artwork in the holiday season. The original cover for Please Come Home For Christmas sees the band lazing around in the sun by a swimming pool. Though for some (for example fans of the band), that might be an enticing enough reason to go home for Xmas, the remix has been clinically shown to be over 800% more enticing in encouraging people to go home for the season. Obvious!

All Around My Hat - Steeleye Span

steeleye span all around my hat remixsteeleye span all around my hat 1Have we remixed a folk song before? We honestly can't remember, but All Around My Hat by Steeleye Span is unashamedly folky. The original cover looks like the band have been on some kind of mind melting medications. The remix is much more folky and far more straightforward and instead of the mind melting medications, we have a babe whose hat is bedecked (is that a word?) with vegetation of the most colorful nature. Maybe we should stick to making remixed artwork and not trying to speak in the floral folk vernacular. Jingle!

Forever Autumn - Justin Hayward

justin hayward forever autumn remixjustin hayward forever autumn 1Two remixes of the same song, no less. Yes, we have already remixed an earlier version of Forever Autumn, but today it is the turn of Justin Hayward to face the remix treatment. Mr Hayward's version comes from the epic musical, War Of The Worlds. On the original cover we find a scene from the story, with an alien podule having landed on some wasteland or other. On the remix we find a babe lying around in an autumnal forest scene. You can choose which version you like the best. Fall!

Keeper Of The Castle - Four Tops

four tops keeper of the castle remixfour tops keeper of the castle 1How does that old kiddies rhyme go, "I'm the king of the castle, and you're the dirty rascal"? And to some extent the original and remixed versions of the cover art for Keeper Of The Castle by the Four Tops follow a similar logic. On the original we see the band members standing in front of an urban castle. On the remix we see a babe protecting a more traditional medieval castle, though she is a little short on armor. The queen of the castle, and the dirty rascals? Schloss!

Bang Bang Bullet - Streak

streak bang bang bullet remixstreak bang bang bullet 1What a combination for remixing here at AllBum.Art... Bang Bang Bullet by Streak. We could have replaced the original art work with someone streaking. Or we could have replaced the art work with someone banging. But in the end it was the bullet idea that won us over and the remix sees a babe holding two guns. One gun for the first bang, one gun for the second bang and then you'd better dodge the bullet. Oh, and she is streaking too. Bonus!

Up The Ladder To The Roof - The Supremes

supremes up ladder roof remixsupremes up ladder roof 1What can we glean, from the cover of Up The Ladder To The Roof by The Supremes, other, perhaps, than the slightly quirky way they have stretched out the words in the title of the song to form a kind of set of steps, or stairs if you will, up which it might be possible to climb. On the remix we see a babe who is up a ladder to the roof, but she has forgotten even basic safety precautions such as wearing clothes. Alert!

Malt And Barley Blues - Mc Guinness Flint

mcguinness flint malt and barley blues remixmcguinness flint malt and barley blues 1We know what you're thinking... Malt And Barley Blues, as sung about by Mc Guinness Flint, is no doubt a song about drinking heavy liquor fermented, as it is, from those two ingredients. The original cover artwork does nothing, though, to encourage this explanation. The remix does away with the whole liquor idea and instead considers the fields in which the malt and barley are grown, and also considers the other things that might be found in those fields... such as naked babes climbing fences. Over!
