Frosty The Snowman - Various Artists

frosty the snowman 2 remixThere are many, many versions of Frosty The Snowman by a myriad of artists including Gene Autry, Perry Como, The Ronettes and Johnny Mathis. But as so many of these versions were after-thoughts, or cynical attempts to sell records at Christmas, and not released as singles in their own right, many don't have original cover artwork. This remix is not therefore a remix because there is no original work to compare. Instead, it is just a random cover that could be used for any version of Frosty The Snowman. In this version of the cover we see a very naughty Frosty who has obviously taken the notion of
we'll have some fun now, before I melt away

very literally indeed. Who would have thought that snowmen were capable of that kind of fun, eh? Chilling!

Snow - Cocteau Twins

cocteau twins snow remixcocteau twins snow 1Two consecutive days of remixes where the title of the song is just Snow! Today's is by the Cocteau Twins. The original cover shows all manner of christmassy dealies including Santa, xmas trees and even some deely-boppers. This is all set against a white background that is presumably meant to illustrate snow. We prefer the remix in which there is snow on the ground and two girls (are they twins?) hugging each other for warmth. They need to keep warm as they are only wearing high-heeled boots. Piercing!

Snow - JJ72

jj72 snow 2jj72 snow 1As the calendar flips over to December and winter approaches, it's time to start remixing wintery artwork. Today is the turn of JJ72 whose original cover for their single Snow only really represents the title of the song through the grainy interpretation of the odd picture that sits at the center of the cover. The remix is equally subtle as we see a young babe blowing snow from her icy hands. But look carefully and, oh yes, now I see it, she doesn't appear to be wearing any clothes. Arctic!

Last Train To London - Electric Light Orchestra

elo last train to london remixelo last train to london 1Continuing the train theme (for not particular reason), we find ourselves on the Last Train To London courtesy of the Electric Light Orchestra, a.k.a. ELO (to use an acronym or two). What do ELO expect to find on the last train? It seems that the answer is a 'simon says...' type space-ship. We, at AllBum.Art think that a naked babe in a railroad yard is much more likely. Well, in the world we inhabit it would be. Steaming!

Love Train - O'Jays

ojays love train 2ojays love train 1People all over the world, join the Love Train, or so instructed the O'Jays back in 1973. The original cover of their song did nothing to encourage such an activity though, unless your idea of a love train, is one where the O'Jays sing non-stop for the whole journey. Ours is a little different. On the remix we see a whole new reason for boarding the love train that is nothing to do with musical renditions of disco songs. Toot toot!

This Is How We Do It - Montell Jordan

montell jordan this is how we do it remixmontell jordan this is how we do it 1This Is How We Do It, says Montell Jordan. But what is how you do it? The only advice given by the original cover is on how to look a bit pouty in black and white. The remix offers more salient advice. In it we see a pregnant babe who is showing us how she got into that state, or at least offering advice on how to do it. So that is how it is done. Who would have guessed? Mr Jordan? Maybe!

Jump (For My Love) - Pointer Sisters

pointer sisters jump remixpointer sisters jump 1Another classic '80s song, and an equally classic '80s cover artwork. The cover of Jump (For My Love) by the Pointer Sisters is very colorful, but does not show the sisters. Nor is any jumping evident though stretching the imagination a little, it could be suggested that the uppy-downy nature of the letters of the word jump are somehow meant to reflect an uppy-downy movement. How would you like sisters to jump for your love? Well naked of course and especially uppy-downy! Trampoline!

Walk This Way - Aerosmith

aerosmith walk this way remixaerosmith walk this way 1Who knew that Aerosmith were making records in the 1970s? Well, for one, they did, obviously. This is the remix for the cover of the single Walk This Way, which is perhaps more famous for the remix done with Run DMC. On the original cover of the original single, we see the band on stage in some sodium lamp lit confusion. On the remix we see two babes showing exactly how walking this way should be done, and that is naked - and on a street corner. Perambulate!

Radioactive - Imagine Dragons

imagine dragons radioactive remiximagine dragons radioactive 1It is possible, though it seems unlikely, that the scene depicted on the original cover of Radioactive by the Imagine Dragons is in someway connected to nuclear fall-out. But other than the colors being slightly washed-out, there is no real evidence of radiation. In the remix this problem is cured as we see an asian babe who is wearing some kind of protective mask and who has the symbols that warn of radioactivity painted on her. It seems that whatever the nature of the radiation she is being exposed too, it must only be dangerous if inhaled, as the rest of her body is woefully unprotected. Neutron!

Tease Me - Chaka Demus And Pliers

chaka demus pliers tease me remixchaka demus pliers tease me 1As if Chaka Demus And Pliers isn't an odd enough name for a group, the cover of their single Tease Me is even odder. Other than some badly colored snaps of what can only be presumed to be the band members peering out at the side of a rusted corrugated iron panel, the red blobs at the bottom make no sense either. The remix is 100% clear as we see a hot, hot babe doing some teasing by looking lasciviously at the camera whilst flashing a shapely boob. Top!
