Singles Of The 2000s, Christmas Crackers, Single Covers, Not Safe For Work, Special Remixes, Lingerie
A compilation of funky and soulful holiday hits, Santa's Funk And Soul Party is just another holiday hopeful hijacking the season to sell some stock. Sorry, alliteration attack. Anyhow, the original cover shows what even Santa would regard as a rather slim party. Just two people, and still wearing their scarves and coats despite appearing to be indoors. In the remixmas we see a group of babes who are all dressed for the office party. The AllBum.Art office party that is! Photocopier!
Album Covers, Albums Of The 2000s, Special Remixes, Christmas Crackers, Busty, High Heels, Not Safe For WorkThe original cover for this 2005 album from jazz songstress Diana Krall shows us Ms Krall lounging on a chair in a flowing green dress. Whilst her dress may have a vague resemblance to a Christmas tree, there is nothing overtly seasonal about the cover at all. On the remix we see a different babe who is also lounging, though on a stool rather than a chair. And she is a picture of festiveness. Actually, she's quite a picture altogether. And almost in the altogether too. Holiday!
Album Covers, Albums Of The 2000s, Special Remixes, Christmas Crackers, Fantasy & Cosplay, Not Safe For WorkOne of those albums that contains lots of different tracks by different artists remixed by different people, brought together under a single cover. Verve Remixed Christmas is a holiday take on some old classics, giving them an up to date feel. Which is what we have done with the cover. Whilst the remixed cover maintains its link with Christmas by the nicely decorated tree in the background, it breaks from tradition by having a topless tattooed goth with spiky hair standing in front of the tree. Mixology!
Would you credit it? Two days in a row and two pieces of cover artwork whose title is Feels Like Christmas. Today's comes from soul legend Al Green. The original cover of this compilation of Mr Green singing holiday songs shows none other than Mr Green himself but despite the (pink) snowflakes, doesn't really scream of Christmas feeling. In the remix we see a babe sitting in front of a Christmas tree, and what she is feeling does scream Christmas, in fact it screams a lot. Festive!
The original cover artwork for Feels Like Christmas by The Feeling, does have a bit of a Christmas feel to it, largely because of the various Christmas-related items such as a tree and some presents, and even a rather spooky looking carved wooden reindeer/bat effigy. In the remix we find one hot babe who is doing a bit of feeling, and to her, what she has in her hand, definitely feels like Christmas. Can we have a go now please? Roundel!
This song is so old, it doesn't have proper original cover art. Presents For Christmas by Solomon Burke dates back to a time when printing was expensive and so the only cover was the middle of the 7 inch single itself. We've extrapolated this to form a more modern cover. Then we've remixed it to form an even more modern cover in which there are actually some presents for Christmas. Some of the presents are in boxes and wrapped up. One, though, is largely unwrapped. Thorough!
This is not the first remix of Skiing In The Snow, as this original by The Invitations was covered in the 1970s by another band. The original cover of the original song sees the band standing around looking very warm, despite the monochrome picture. They aren't skiing and they aren't in the snow. In the remix we see a babe skiing in the snow. We'd like to say she's a hot babe but in that outfit, or lack of outfit, a better description might be cool. Arctic!
An album cover for a change. This is a remix for Christmas Through Your Eyes by Gloria Estafan. The original cover shows Ms Estafan lounging seductively which for many may be what Christmas would look like through their eyes. The remix shows a babe who is conducting an experiment in bauble-induced Christmassness. In the experiment she sees what Christmas looks like through her eyes when they are placed in front of two baubles. Looks good to us. Spherical!
