Another remix for those new romantics, Spandau Ballet. On the original single cover artwork for Highly Strung, we find a blonde haired woman who appears more to have been roped than strung, but we will let them off this. But there isn't a lot of string, or rope, involved. On the remix, we find an Asian babe who has also been roped up, but there is far more rope involved, so we could safely say she is highly roped, or highly strung as the saying goes. Knotty!
It seems that Kajagoogoo are Too Shy not only to show themselves on the original front cover artwork of their single, but they are so shy, that there is nothing on the front cover other than the title of the song and the name of the artist. On the remix there is a babe who is quite shy, but perhaps not too shy. After all, though she is covering her decency with her hands, she is otherwise naked other than her high heels. Embarrassed!
Not content with The Model, Kraftwerk also bring us some Showroom Dummies. To be fair to the band, on the original single cover artwork, they do look rather fake, but probably a little too realistic to be real mannequins. On the remix we find three showroom dummies who are all naked. One is a mannequin, the other two are dummies. Can you tell which is which? Bodypaint!
Another remix for Kid Creole And The Coconuts. Today it is the turn of their classic song Stool Pigeon. It is fair to say that the coconuts that Mr Creole has with him on the original single front cover artwork are generally rather appealing, there is just no sign of any kid of stool. Hence on the remix we find a babe who is leaning over a stool. Still no sign of any pigeon but let's forgive her that omission. Dove!
Apparently, Love Comes Quickly when you wear a hat with the word 'Boy' on it, at least that is what the original single cover artwork by the Pet Shop Boys tells us. On the remix, not a great deal has changed, except that instead of there being a boy wearing a hat with the word boy on it, it's now a babe who has her baseball cap on. It seems her t-shirt may also have the word boy on it, but it's difficult to read as she has it pulled up to reveal her stomach. Tummy!
You Think You're A Man do you? Well Divine says so, so it must be true. The original single front cover artwork strongly indicates that the person pictured is indeed a man, in woman's clothing. On the remix is a man who is largely missing any clothing other than a pair of heels, but leads to much more confusion over the question of whether you think he's a man, or only a boy. Reveal!
Apparently, Frankie Goes To Hollywood are Watching The Wildlife. We know this because on the original single front cover artwork, there is a picture of a panda's eye with an inset picture of the panda's head. Though furry Panda's might still be wild in some parts of the world, it is not completely clear whether the one pictured is. On the remix is a babe who is standing in the wild, with an inset of her equally furry wildlife. The band may not have been watching this particular scene, but we think you would be, rather than the panda. Monochrome!
How can you show your face when you're a disgrace to the human race? That's what Madness sing in their single Embarassm.. nope, we mean Embarrasm... no that's not right either. Is it one 'r' and two 's's or what? Oh, right, it's two 'r's and two 's's, so it's called Embarrassmment then? No, only one 'm'. We give up. Anyhow the girl on the remix is clearly embaras.. whatever.. about her situation as she seems to have lost most of her clothing and is standing around on a table in the middle of a bar. Shy!
