yes dont kill the whale remixyes dont kill the whale 1A noble cause, 'Save The Whales', and one to which band Yes clearly subscribe given the title of their single Don't Kill The Whale. The original cover artwork for their single highlights the plight of these majestic creatures as we find a whale who is thrashing about in the sea. Little changes on the remix as we also find a whale thrashing about in the sea, though we are less concerned about her longevity. Blubber!

Rocket Man - Elton John

elton john rocket man 2elton john rocket man 1Another remix for Elton John (or Frisbee Headland as he is known here at AllBum.Art for reasons that are too complex to get into). Continuing the 'outer space' theme, we find Rocket Man (I Think It's Going To Be A Long Long Parenthesis). On the original cover we find Mr Dwight looking very monochrome. On the remix we find two babes who appear to have crashed their rocket, no doubt waiting for the rocket man to appear to repair it for them. Spanner!

Dancing In Outer Space - Atmosfear

atmosfear dancing in outer space remixatmosfear dancing in outer space 1Get your space suits ready as we head off Dancing In Outer Space with Atmosfear. And on the original cover that's exactly what we have - someone is a space suit - and they may be dancing though we are reliably informed (Dave's mum said so) that the material of the suits is quite bulky and dancing would be difficult. Which is perhaps why the babe in the remix is naked, as that would make dancing easier. Be careful of depressurization though. Asphyxia.

Let No Man Put Asunder - First Choice

first choice let no man put asunder remixfirst choice let no man put asunder 1What a cute play on words. When First Choice sing Let No Man Put Asunder, they could equally be singing Let No Man Put Us Under. See what they did there? Well let's see what we did on the remix as we replaced the skin-tight leotard wearing band members with a wedding which doesn't look like it's going to get off to a non asundering start, what with the bride and her maids showing where they have already been asundered. Under!

Magic Mandrake - Sarr Band

sarr band magic mandrake remixsarr band magic mandrake 1In the days of vinyl, record sleeve designers had two options: 1. Cover up the hole in the middle. 2. Let the hole in the middle be used as part of the cover. In this case they chose option 2 and on the cover of Magic Mandrake by Sarr Band, we find a babe in red high heels, pulling her gold panties down. On the remix is much the same picture, and wouldn't you guess it, the hole in the middle has covered the answer to the question, do the collars and cuffs match. Blonde!

Devil Gate Drive - Suzi Quatro

suzi quatro devil gate drive remixsuzi quatro devil gate drive 1As the devilish day approaches, we continue our series of Halloween remixes with Devil Gate Drive by Suzi Quatro. On the original cover we find Ms Quatro standing on top of three folk who seem to be clawing at here. But where is the gate? It's on the remix of course, where a mature babe has found the gate concerned where the devil has already begun to have his way with her by making all her clothes fall off. Well, all except her high heels for some reason. Cast!

selecter on my radio 1selecter on my radio 2selecter on my radio remix
A triple-play from The Selecter as we remix their 70's ska classic, On My Radio. On the original cover we find the band members in their two-tone outfits singing on a stage. Maybe this is being broadcast on the radio, maybe it isn't. On the first remix we find a babe who may be broadcasting on the radio, there's certainly the right amount of faders in front of her. On the final remix we find two babes being interviewed on Howard Stone's radio program, so definitely on the radio. Transmit!

Gimme Dat Banana - Black Gorilla

black gorilla gimme dat banana 2black gorilla gimme dat banana 1Gimme dat, gimme dat, Gimme Dat Banana, sings the jungle-worthy Black Gorilla. Actually, we give the band the thumbs up for the original cover which shows a black gorilla swiping a banana from a cheeky monkey. The remix takes a slightly different tack as one babe asks the other to give her a banana but her friend (we assume they are known to each other), gives it her in a way she was perhaps not expecting, but then again she doesn't seem to unhappy with where it has been given to her. Musa!

Dr Love - Tina Charles

tina charles dr love remixtina charles dr love 1Feeling unwell in the love department? At a loss how to cure a broken heart? You need the services of Dr Love (or at least that is what Tina Charles should have sung). The question is whether Ms Charles appears in one of these predicaments on the cover of her single. Perhaps she does as she is looking a little forlorn. On the remix we find Dr Love in action, using his advanced medical skills to try and cure a babe of her illness. That, or he's just an old lech. Cure!

Get Down - Gene Chandler

gene chandler get down 2gene chandler get down 1Yeah, baby, Get Down on that funk-jive master-beat. At least that's how radio DJs of the 1970s introduced Gene Chandler's single. The original cover has the heel of a high heel shoe and what might be a pair of glasses, or a bra (it's difficult to tell) silhouetted against a deep red and pink background. All we, at AllBum.Art have done is added in a bunny girl getting down, or at least bending down to remove her panties. How's that for 1970s funk-jive? Down-pop!
