david bowie absolute beginners remixdavid bowie absolute beginners 1Another remix for glam singer David Bowie. On the original cover of his single Absolute Beginners, we find Mr Bowie standing around by the banks of a river in black and white. For what it's worth, we don't believe that Mr Bowie is a beginner in that kind of stance. On the remix we find a group of girls who appear to be trying to sail a boat. They are clearly beginners of the absolute variety, as they aren't wearing the proper attire for the job. In fact they aren't wearing any attire at all which is clearly very dangerous when sailing a boat. Deck!

Electric - Lisa Scott-Lee

lisa scott lee electric remixlisa scott lee electric 1Electric is the name of both a single and an album by Lisa Scott-Lee (whoever she is). We just chose it because we had a great picture of a kind of robotic cyborg type babe standing around against what look like some kind of electric cables. When hunting for some artwork to remix, we found this single/album and the similarity of the color scheme just meant we had to use it, with apologies to Ms Scott-Lee who seems to be a D-list singer from England. Voltage!

Garage Days Part II - Metallica

metallica garage days 2metallica garage days 1Today's AllBum.Art remix is for Metallica's album Garage Days Part II (or Garage Days Re-Revisited Part II to give it its full mane). The original cover shows... well not much at all, just the Metallica logo, a stylized skull and cross-bones, and the title of the album. The remix shows a babe standing around in a garage during the day. No-one seems to be parked in the garage but that's maybe a good thing, as the babe concerned does not appear to be wearing any clothes. Park!

Lucky Man - Verve

verve lucky man 2verve lucky man 1A Lucky Man is the subject of this song by the Verve. And maybe the guy on the original front cover of the single is lucky, though you need to use your imagination a little to understand why. Why? Because all that can be seen from the cover is that there is a guy, walking down a deserted street. On the remix, we see a very lucky man. How do we know he is lucky? He has an attractive naked babe hugging him. Seems like he's a lucky man as far as we can make out. 8!

Magic Mandrake - Sarr Band

sarr band magic mandrake remixsarr band magic mandrake 1In the days of vinyl, record sleeve designers had two options: 1. Cover up the hole in the middle. 2. Let the hole in the middle be used as part of the cover. In this case they chose option 2 and on the cover of Magic Mandrake by Sarr Band, we find a babe in red high heels, pulling her gold panties down. On the remix is much the same picture, and wouldn't you guess it, the hole in the middle has covered the answer to the question, do the collars and cuffs match. Blonde!

Crashed The Wedding - Busted

busted crashed the wedding 2busted crashed the wedding 1What would you expect to see if you Crashed The Wedding? Well, according to Busted, it would be a photo-frame of the band themselves doing donkey-rides against a shoddy back-drop of some icebergs. What that has got to do with weddings is anyone's idea. Well, clearly it's someone's idea otherwise they wouldn't have put it on the cover of their single. The remix shows a much more likely scene, with a bridesmaid helping the bride on with her dress. Much more likely. Infinitely!

Achilles Heel - Toploader

toploader achilles heel 2toploader achilles heel 1You remember the story of Achilles Heel? It was the weak-spot that led to the downfall of a mighty warrior. So when Toploader sing about it, you would expect the cover of their single to somehow reflect the story, instead of just containing a picture of the band members loafing around in a flowery garden. In the remix we can see a babe who is wearing what must be Achilles heels. How do we know this? Because she seems unable to walk in them and has fallen to the ground. Styx|

Waiting - Green Day

green day waiting remixgreen day waiting 1What were Green Day waiting for? That is the question we need to answer today. From the cover of their single, the only thing that is clear, is that nothing is clear at all. Perhaps they are waiting for someone to turn on a light, to illuminate the source of their loitering. Whatever the case, the remix shows a babe who is staring out of a window, waiting for someone or something. And when they arrive, they ace clearly in for a treat. Lingering!

What's New Pussycat - Tom Jones

tom jones whats new pussycat 2tom jones whats new pussycat 1Does the potential for remixing a song cover artwork come on any bigger plate than a song called What's New Pussycat. So thank you to Tom Jones for offering up this large dinner plate of a remix. On the original we see Mr Jones looking very, well, very ordinary. On the remix we see a babe dressed in a pussycat outfit. Now do you see what we mean about an easy remix. And you were thinking, pussy, cat, and something much more different weren't you now? Miaow!

ray parker jr ghostbusters 1We think this is a first for us at AllBum.Art, three separate remixes of the same cover artwork. The simple fact is that it is Halloween and we wanted to mark the occasion with something special. Also, we found so many great spooky pictures that it seemed a shame to waste them, or to wait for another suitable occasion. Similarly, there are so many songs to choose from. We found a great list of Halloween Hits and decided to go for that 80s party classic, Ghostbusters by Ray Parker Junior. On the original cover we rightly see the logo for the movie of the same name. On the first remix we find two ghostly babes hanging about it the annals of a graveyard, or thereabouts. On the second remix we find a ghostly babe who, being semi-transparent, is clearly ethereal in her make-up. On the final remix we find a babe who would make a good addition to the ghostbusting team being, as she is, both busty and clearly capable of hanging around spooky green places with mystical smoke. Perdition!
