Achilles Heel - Toploader

toploader achilles heel 2toploader achilles heel 1You remember the story of Achilles Heel? It was the weak-spot that led to the downfall of a mighty warrior. So when Toploader sing about it, you would expect the cover of their single to somehow reflect the story, instead of just containing a picture of the band members loafing around in a flowery garden. In the remix we can see a babe who is wearing what must be Achilles heels. How do we know this? Because she seems unable to walk in them and has fallen to the ground. Styx|

Waiting - Green Day

green day waiting remixgreen day waiting 1What were Green Day waiting for? That is the question we need to answer today. From the cover of their single, the only thing that is clear, is that nothing is clear at all. Perhaps they are waiting for someone to turn on a light, to illuminate the source of their loitering. Whatever the case, the remix shows a babe who is staring out of a window, waiting for someone or something. And when they arrive, they ace clearly in for a treat. Lingering!

tom jones whats new pussycat 2tom jones whats new pussycat 1Does the potential for remixing a song cover artwork come on any bigger plate than a song called What's New Pussycat. So thank you to Tom Jones for offering up this large dinner plate of a remix. On the original we see Mr Jones looking very, well, very ordinary. On the remix we see a babe dressed in a pussycat outfit. Now do you see what we mean about an easy remix. And you were thinking, pussy, cat, and something much more different weren't you now? Miaow!

ray parker jr ghostbusters 1We think this is a first for us at AllBum.Art, three separate remixes of the same cover artwork. The simple fact is that it is Halloween and we wanted to mark the occasion with something special. Also, we found so many great spooky pictures that it seemed a shame to waste them, or to wait for another suitable occasion. Similarly, there are so many songs to choose from. We found a great list of Halloween Hits and decided to go for that 80s party classic, Ghostbusters by Ray Parker Junior. On the original cover we rightly see the logo for the movie of the same name. On the first remix we find two ghostly babes hanging about it the annals of a graveyard, or thereabouts. On the second remix we find a ghostly babe who, being semi-transparent, is clearly ethereal in her make-up. On the final remix we find a babe who would make a good addition to the ghostbusting team being, as she is, both busty and clearly capable of hanging around spooky green places with mystical smoke. Perdition!

Keeper Of The Castle - Four Tops

four tops keeper of the castle remixfour tops keeper of the castle 1How does that old kiddies rhyme go, "I'm the king of the castle, and you're the dirty rascal"? And to some extent the original and remixed versions of the cover art for Keeper Of The Castle by the Four Tops follow a similar logic. On the original we see the band members standing in front of an urban castle. On the remix we see a babe protecting a more traditional medieval castle, though she is a little short on armor. The queen of the castle, and the dirty rascals? Schloss!

This Ole House - Shakin' Stevens

shakin stevens this ole house remixshakin stevens this ole house 1This Ole House has no doubt seen better days as it appears to be crumblin' around the edges, though with the position of Shakin' Stevens within the abode, the state of the decor is not apparent. In the remix we take a wider angle lens to the property and it is now clear that the state of the interior decor is, indeed, fallin' apart. What also becomes apparent is that there appears to be a naked babe hangin' around. Maybe she's a Shakin' Stevens fan and is waitin' for him to return home after work. Unlikely!

Ride On A Meteorite - Antares

antares ride on a meteorite remixantares ride on a meteorite 1A Ride On A Meteorite is what Antares are offering us in this terrible 1990s electropop nonsense. Their cover, however, offers something vaguely more appealing. The remix goes one step further as we find a babe who is definitely riding on a meteorite. Interestingly, although the meteorite in question has got a purple sky, it clearly has a breathable atmosphere as the babe in question is not wearing a space suit. In fact, she's not wearing anything at all. Asphyxia!

Locked Out Of Heaven - Bruno Mars

bruno mars locked out of heaven remixbruno mars locked out of heaven 1Another remix for the eponymous Bruno Mars whose singles and albums seem to make excellent fodder for remixing. The idea of being Locked Out Of Heaven conjures up pictures of being stuck with no way to access the beauty of what lies behind. In that respect the original cover is just about OK, but the remix scores in so many additional ways. We find on the remix a babe who is locked behind bars, and we are on the other side of those bars. Locked out of heaven indeed. Locksmith!

nelly p diddy murphy lee shake ya tailfeather remixnelly p diddy murphy lee shake ya tailfeather 1Wiggle it, just a little bit. That's what you should be saying to someone who you are requesting to Shake Ya Tailfeather. But the big headed rappers collective of Nelly, P. Diddy and Murphy Lee only wish to show us their big heads on the cover of their single. On the remix we see a single babe who is apt to shake her tailfeather and who would have made a far better adornment for the cover of the single. Wiggle!

Odd 1 Out - Guvna B

guvna b odd 1 out remixguvna b odd 1 out 1Odd 1 Out, yeah, right, like that's not an original title for an album. Well anyway, rant over, it seems that Guvna B did reasonably well with his album cover putting himself as the odd one out in-between two grey zeros. The remix adds a little color to this monochromatic scene but retains the odd one out. Can you spot which girl is the odd one out? Yes, it's the one at the end. All the others are called Jenny, but she is called Terry. Bet you didn't spot that did you? Jinx!
