AllBum.Art - Alternative Art-Work for Album and Single Covers

The rexponse to the firxt couple of our 'Remi-XXX-es' has been mixxxed. Some liked the more risqué approach, others thought that it was a step too far. Let's try a xecond one and let us know whether you thinx these should continue or cease. It's the turn of The Whispers and their album Open Up Your Love. On the original cover we find a babe standing in nothing but high heels, yet her love is not visible, never mind open. In the remix a similar babe is squatting down for us but her love is clearly open for all to see. Wild!

Have you ever heard of Frente? No, nor had we, but we're always keen to find songs where we can remix the cover artwork to show babes dressed as an angel, so Ordinary Angels by Frente meets our exacting criteria. To be fair to the band, the original cover does show a very ordinary angel and all we have done in the remix is find an alternatively ordinary angel, but wearing fewer clothes. Then again, that's what we do best at AllBum.Art. Wings!

Here at AllBum.Art we try and abide by the submission guidelines that we have set for other. But occasionally, a piece of work comes along that is so desperate to be remixed that it would almost be a crime to do so, even if it blows the rules apart. Oral Tradition, the 2015 album by Greo, is just such a case. Not only does the original cover blow, but there is such an obvious remix opportunity that it would be blowing a big opportunity if we overlooked the job in hand. So, we bring you another 'RemiXXX' - an X-Rated remix. So what is so X-rated about the remixxx of this album. Do we really need to spell that out...? Sucker!

We kind of like the original cover of Hot And Wet (Believe It) by Tzant as it hints at the notion of naughtiness by having a dominatrix clad babe hiding behind a do not disturb motel door sign. Like it, but not love it. The remix shows a babe who is hot and wet. Hot because she is a babe. Wet because she is standing under a shower. Trent, who works behind the scenes at AllBum.Art suggested that we should have used a mug of coffee for the remix as that is hot and wet too. Thanks Trent, hope you're suitably ashamed of your lame suggestion. Tea!

Another day, another remix about flying. The original cover of I'll Fly For You by Spandau Ballet shows a hairy-chested coal mine worker pretending to fly by holding out his arms in the shape of ineffectual wings. The remix shows an air hostess who is inviting us on board her aircraft. Would you like to fly for her, or with her, or even skip the flying part altogether, in the altogether. Decide!

Another remix from those nutty London boys, Madness. Return Of The Los Palmas 7 sees the boys being badly drawn as cartoons on the front cover of the artwork for their single. Los Palmas, if you weren't aware, is apparently the British equivalent of Palm Springs, and we have thus remixed the cover to show a more likely scene from Los Palmas, that of 7 hot babes enjoying the sunshine. They aren't wearing much, except suntan lotion, clever girls. Slippy!

Nothing says Closer Than Close better than some pink and red blobs. Don't be misled by any other explanation, this is the word of Rosie Gaines and we have to believe, otherwise everything is lost to the world of closeness. The remix adds little, other than a guy and a babe standing closer than close, so close in fact that it is a wonder she isn't being impregnated just standing there. Closer than clothes, that is for certain. Handy!

Another remix provided to us by contributor Phil Darnall of England. On the original single cover for I Surrender by Rosie Gaines, you will find a very speckled image of Ms Gaines. Perhaps she has surrendered to the great speckled image monster. On the remix, Phil tells us is a picture of bountiful babe called Rosie whose body he has strapped in leather and whose boot-clad ankles he has tied together. She looks as if she is enjoying it, says Phil, perhaps this is less submission and more admission. We see what you're getting at Phil. Insinuation!

Another autumn (or fall for those who speak the president's English and not the queen's) themed remix. When Sky Motion sing of Autumn Dreams, a glacial forest lake is not the first thing that springs to mind (get it, spring - it's another season). What is summoned (OK, not quite summer but a good try none the less) to mind is leaves of many colors, fallen (fall get it?) to the ground, and of course, a hot babe standing amongst them. Wonder if her name is winter? Solstice!

Two remixes of the same song, no less. Yes, we have already remixed an earlier version of Forever Autumn, but today it is the turn of Justin Hayward to face the remix treatment. Mr Hayward's version comes from the epic musical, War Of The Worlds. On the original cover we find a scene from the story, with an alien podule having landed on some wasteland or other. On the remix we find a babe lying around in an autumnal forest scene. You can choose which version you like the best. Fall!
