trashmen surfin bird remixtrashmen surfin bird 1If you never saw it, then before even thinking about reading any further, go and watch the piece from Family Guy concerning 'mass awareness of a certain avian variety', go watch it now. Then come back and think about what a Surfin' Bird is. To us it's simple. It's a cute surfin' bird. Simple really. Everybody knows that bird is the word!

tom jones whats new pussycat 2tom jones whats new pussycat 1Does the potential for remixing a song cover artwork come on any bigger plate than a song called What's New Pussycat. So thank you to Tom Jones for offering up this large dinner plate of a remix. On the original we see Mr Jones looking very, well, very ordinary. On the remix we see a babe dressed in a pussycat outfit. Now do you see what we mean about an easy remix. And you were thinking, pussy, cat, and something much more different weren't you now? Miaow!

Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down) - Nancy Sinatra

nancy sinatra bang bang remixnancy sinatra bang bang 1Friday already, how the week just flies by. And here we are with another remix from this week's special guest, Nancy Sinatra, none other than Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down). On the original cover of the song, we find Ms Sinatra sitting down on the floor. Could it be that she has already been shot down, or is it more bang bang? Either way, the remix shows a more likely bang bang situation, and if they are not careful their baby will shoot them down. Table!

nancy sinatra the highway song remixnancy sinatra the highway song 1Yet another remix in our week long Nancy Sinatra special. The original cover of The Highway Song shows Ms Sinatra looking very demure and even a little sophisticated, lying down in soft focus. But where is the highway? The remix shows what is going on on the highway in question, which is to say very little, other than there being some nearly naked babe wearing just high heel boots and a jacket. Top!

The Boxer - Simon And Garfunkel

simon garfunkel the boxer remixsimon garfunkel the boxer 1Such a simple remix this one. The original cover of The Boxer by Simon And Garfunkel shows the two singers, the title of the song, and the singers' names, and that's it. No sign of a boxer, which is odd, given that the title of the song is The Boxer. This is very easily remedied, and in the remix we have just added a picture of a boxer. A foxy boxer as girls who wear boxing gloves, high heel boots, and not much else are normally called. Pow!

Calendar Girl - Neil Sedaka

neil sedaka calendar girl remixneil sedaka calendar girl 1What would you imagine, if we asked you to picture a calendar girl? Would it be the unsmiling face of Neil Sedaka, or would it be a 60s style pinup girl? Well Mr Sedaka clearly thinks his unsmiling face, with his jacked slung over his shoulder, is the right answer. We, on the other hand, would prefer to see a 60s style pinup girl. Good job that's what we used to remix the single then. Pop!

(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher And Higher - Jackie Wilson

jackie wilson higher and higher remixjackie wilson higher and higher 1Jackie Wilson tells us, in this classic 60s song, that Your Love Keeps Lifting Me Higher And Higher. All well and good there Mr Wilson, but just what aspect of the original cover of your single shows us how high this love is lifting you. Is it the sky in the background, or your hand pointing nonchalantly upwards. Either way, the remix does a better job and we see that it is a babe who is doing the lifting, going higher and higher up a ladder. And not one in her stockings either. Rung!

Sunshine, Lollipops And Rainbows - Lesley Gore

lesley gore sunshine lollipops and rainbows remixlesley gore sunshine lollipops and rainbows 1Sunshine, Lollipops And Rainbows are things that remind you of what? For us it is time for a remix of this classic song by Lesley Gore. The original cover shows Ms Gore smiling but there are no rainbows, and no lollipops and though the sun may be shining, it is not totally evident. The remix replaces Ms Gore with a different babe. Behind her the sun is shining. She is licking a lollipop. And the lollipop is rainbow colored. Tick!

Reflections - Diana Ross And The Supremes

diana ross reflections remixdiana ross reflectons 1Reflections of, the way life used to be. That's what Diana Ross And The Supremes sing of in this 1960s Motown classic. The original cover shows Mr Ross and the Supremes but there's no mirror image, no upturned picture, no flipped-over photograph. The remix sadly does away with the original band, but does add the all important reflection. In this case of two nude girls holding hands on a beach at sunset. Lovely!

Four Little Heels - Brian Hyland

brian hyland four little heels remixbrian hyland four little heels 1A user submitted entry by Colin Hesketh of England. We will let Colin tell you the story.
The original of Four Little Heels by Brian Hyland doesn't have any heels on it at all. My remix has two women, both wearing heels, which maked 4 heels in total.

Quite right Colin. We note that they are taking pictures of each other too, which is an admirable passtime and very 1960s. Flash!
