Bangkok, oriental city, but the city don't know what the city is gettin'. Or so proclaims Murray Head at the start of his single One Night In Bangkok. He then goes on to explain that there will be a chess tournament going on. How dull is that? For most people one night in Bangkok looks a lot more like the scenario in the remix of the cover artwork. Hot Thai babes in your hotel room. Siam!
It's nice to be able to help out our Canadian brethren by remixing their nicey-nicey cover artwork. Here we see Bachman Turner Overdrive standing around looking Canadian in their fur coats and lumberjackets. The remix of the cover, though, points to a different story as three cute babes flashing their boobs at us whilst proclaiming You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet. Imagine what they will be letting us see next, eh. Vision!
Oddly, or maybe not, this is not the first remix for a cover of Don't Leave Me This Way that we have presented. The first was for Thelma Houston but this one is for The Communards Featuring Sarah Jane Morris. The original cover for this single is beyond boring. Zzzzz.... The remix shows a babe who has made a real effort to look her best by taking off her shirt and pulling down her jeans and now she is standing there with a very 'don't leave me this way' look on her face. Action!
The original cover of Two Hearts by Phil Collins shows Mr Collins in various poses taken from the film Buster. That's understandable, but where are the two hearts of which he sings. We, here at AllBum.Art have tracked down the answer. It seems the two hearts to which Mr Collins is referring are small and red and covering the modesty of a leggy babe who is standing around in public wearing naught much more than the aforementioned small heart-shaped pieces of cloth. Beating!
Another two-in-a-row but this time not two from the same band, but two songs with the same title. More than that, it's the same song! This version of I Got You Babe is by UB40 Featuring Chrissie Hynde and as for the original cover of the single, what is there to be said. It does not show the artist and it does not show who is getting who. The remix does as it becomes clear that this time it is a police officer who is doing the getting and the babe he has got is being arrested because, it seems, she was displaying her boobs in public. Pointed!
When Sonny & Cher sang I Got You Babe, who could have guessed that their apparently strong connection would be broken. The original cover already suggests that the two of them were not that close, both of them looking as if they are very disinterested in each other. In the remix we see a mature woman who has very clearly got her younger male babe, him being trapped in her vice like grip and unable to get away without extensive pain being caused. Crusher!
Two in a row from the Sugababes. Why two? After yesterday's rather ugly episode, we felt it was necessary to spruce things up a bit. On the original cover of Push The Button we see the babes that are sugary looking, if anything, bored. On the remix we see to different sweet babes and one is pushing the button of the other. Where has she hid this button: in plain sight. What does the button do when you press it. If the picture is anything to go by, it makes for lots of smiles and giggle. 'Ere, can we try...? Ding!
Whatever your view of British babe band Sugababes, Ugly is probably not a word that immediately springs to mind. Which is what makes the cover of their single so ironically misfitting, as the title is ugly but the picture is not. Leap forward some alternative babes to grace the cover who bring the song's title to life. Are they ugly? Of course that depends on your taste, but compared to the original babes, they certainly aren't pretty. Maybe a few fewer clothes may have helped. Then again, maybe not. Awful!
Over in little ol' England, November 5th is a day where they celebrate a failed attempt by Guy Fawkes to burn down the English parliament in 1605. Boy, do those guys bear grudges for a long time. But as a show of brotherly love, we bring you a remix of Firestarter by British band The Prodigy who no doubt had exactly this day of the year in mind when they wrote the song. The cover shows a woman trying to start a fire. In the remix we see a different woman but one who is far more successful, in so many ways. Ouch!
Hot Right Now? You will be when you see the remix to the cover artwork of this single by DJ Fresh Featuring Rita Ora. Let's, for once, just completely ignore and instead focus only on the remix. A babe (possibly Asian) who could well be naked but whose body is obscured by the towel she is holding and by the barrel in which she is standing. All around is snow and ice but under the barrel is a fire. So is she hot right now? Difficult to say but if the fire goes out she will certainly be cold very soon. Crack!
