The fourth AllBum.Art for Katy Perry is partly in response to an e-mail we received from Kaydn of Jacksonville, FL. In her e-mail, Kaydn (no surname given) said:
y is u always remixing old shit like disco and that - do some chartz LOL

Although Kaydn's use of the language is a bit shit itself, we got the gist of her message and so here is a remix of the 2013 of Ms Perry's single Roar. Instead of Ms Perry on the cover, we have instead two alternative 'tigers'. One of them a nice example of the art of Hentai, and the other, a nice example of a naked chick painted in tiger colors. That OK for you Kaydn, LOL.

There But For The Grace Of God Go I - Machine

Another triple track whammy for you by the AllBum.Art. In order to get all that rock music out of our heads following last week's Status Quo week, we've been listening to some 70s disco. This track by Machine did a great job of washing all those nasty distorted guitars from our speakers and funking them back up again. The original cover for There But For The Grace Of God Go I has a sexy leg in hose and heels on a motorcycle (for some reason). The first remix pulls back from the view so we can see more of the babe on the bike. In the second a whole host of gorgeous girls have got on the bike. Time to ride...

In The Army Now - Status Quo

status quo in army now remixstatus quo in army now 1Concluding our week of Status Quo cover remixes sent in by Mark Hodson of England is this for their 1980s album (and single of the same name) In The Army Now. The original cover shows, what presumably is meant to be the members of the band, in their ol' rag blues (denim jeans to you and me) raising the Union flag on a pole. As covers go, this scores highly as it includes both the band and some representation of what the song is about. Mr Hodson's remix shows a more intimate view of life in the army - presumably in this case the People's Liberation Army!

Thank you to Mr Hodson for all his work on the remixes of Status Quo covers he has sent us this week.

Don't Drive My Car - Status Quo

status quo dont drive remixstatus quo dont drive 1In case you're wondering why we have had so many cover remixes of the English rock band Status Quo, it's because we received an e-mail from Mark Hodson who supplied us with enough album artwork to have a whole week of covers by the band. The original cover for Don't Drive My Car shows a leggy babe in stockings and a fur coat getting out of a car - not at all bad for a 1980s cover. Mr Hodson has updated this with what the cover would look like today. Gone are the stockings and fur coat!

Ol' Rag Blues - Status Quo

status quo ol rag blues remixstatus quo ol rag blues 1Our Status Quo week, brought to you courtesy of Mark Hodson of England moves into the 1980s with this remix of their song Ol' Rag Blues. Mr Hodson says that although it has always been fashionable to wear ripped denim, he feels that the original cover is now too 80s and that a modern version was needed. In the remixed cover we see a girl in her ripped denim who is, according to Mr Hodson, 'getting into the vibe of the music of the Quo'. If that's what their music does to babes wearing blue jeans, perhaps we should go to England to see them on tour.

Rain - Status Quo

status quo rain remixstatus quo rain 1And another in this week's remixes of Status Quo songs sent in by Mark Hodson of England. In this one, Rain, Mr Hodson says:
In the song, the Quo sing that they can't live without the rain. Now we all know plants need rain, but for a rock band, there must be a different reason why rain is so attractive and in my remix I have shown why.

Ah, so the reason they can't live without the rain is because there's a naked chick lying on the floor being soaked by it. That makes complete sense.

Down Down - Status Quo

status quo down remixstatus quo down 1Yet another in this week's series of remixes of single covers by Status Quo sent in by Mark Hodson of England. Apparently Down Down was one of their biggest hits but Mr Hodson feels that what they are singing about is the lowering of knickers and that the cover does not reflect this. So he has provided us with this remix where calling out 'Down Down' whilst the scene is unfolding would no doubt enhance the cover even further.

status quo living on island remixstatus quo living on island 1Another in the series of remixes of Status Quo covers sent to us by Mark Hodson of England. Mark says:
I don't know which island the Quo were thinking of, but the kind of island I would like to live on is one where there are loads of fit birds with their kit off.

We're not exactly sure what a fit bird is, but the remixed cover of Living On An Island gives a good idea!

Paper Plane - Status Quo

status quo paper plane remixstatus quo paper plane 1We got a long letter from Mark Hodson of England who said he had been 'inspired' by the AllBum.Art web-site to remix a number of covers for one of his favourite British bands, Status Quo. Attached to Mr Hodson's e-mail were no fewer than 6 sets of remixed covers for songs by the band and so this week we present the Status Quo series starting with a 1972 song called Paper Plane. The remix speaks for itself - a topless (and nicely busty) babe surrounded by paper planes. More to follow...

Skiing In The Snow - Wigan's Ovation

wigan skiing snow remixwigan skiing snow 1What were we on? Planet snowski? The fact is that faced with a cool picture of a chick in a ski scene who is about to get very cold due to her less then skimpy ski suit then a remix of a cover was essential. Sadly the only song we could find that covered both snow and skiing was a completely obscure piece of 1970s crap from an unheard of band from England. Still, a salope in a salopette has a certain resonance even in the 1970s.
