Some Girls - Racey

racey some girls remixracey some girls 1Oh dear. Where do we begin with the cover artwork for Some Girls by Racey? It is another of those 'let's showcase the good looking band members' types of cover (we really should coin a term for such covers) and is lacking in two very important respects:
  1. It's not in any way racey. And,
  2. There isn't even one girl, let alone some girls on the cover.
The remix solves both these problems as there are now some girls on the cover, and being the racey type, they appear to be bare. Vroom!

Class/Style (I've Got It) - Linda Lewis

linda lewis class style 2linda lewis class style 1Linda Lewis tells us that Class/Style (I've Got It). Probably, for the 1980s, her denim jacket and pearl necklace and earrings were the height of style and class, but we aren't so sure. On the remix we find a babe in a hat, lacy panties and high heels which we think looks far more classy and stylish, in a minimalist kind of way. Even if it's not class or style, she's certainly got it! Ravishing!

boyz ii men end of the road remixboyz ii men end of the road 1Another remix for Philly soulsters Boyz II Men. So what do the 'boyz' tell us we will find at the End Of The Road? According to their original cover artwork, it will be themselves. OK, for some that may be enough. On the remix, though, we find a babe wearing lots of fishnet and not in the most fetching way. Certainly if you were going along this road, this is where you would most likely stop and turn around. Final!

Sunny Afternoon - The Kinks

kinks sunny afternoon remixkinks sunny afternoon 1October may be upon us but that doesn't mean grey days and rainy afternoons all the time, there is still room for the odd Sunny Afternoon and so what better time to remix this cover from The Kinks. On the original artwork is one of those 'let's show off the band' types but is it sunny, or even in the afternoon? It's very unclear. On the remix we find a variety of babes sunning themselves. How do we know this is in the afternoon? It's clear - the position of the sun in the sky. How could you not know that? Sundial!

Pull Shapes - The Pipettes

pipettes pull shapes remixpipettes pull shapes 1The Pipettes want to Pull Shapes, or at least that is what the song is called. On the original single front cover artwork, we find the band holding onto the logo for the band's name and though you could kind of call that pulling shapes in a 'vogue' kind of way, there's not much pulling going on. On the remix there are also three babes but they are making a far bigger effort to pull some crazy shapes with the added bonus that they are doing it in the nude. Posers!

Higher - The Saturdays Featuring Flo Rida

saturdays higher remixsaturdays higher 1Higher, is where The Saturdays Featuring Flo Rida are telling us to go. The main thing that is higher on the original single cover artwork is the heels on the two babes in the middle and the babe second from right who seems to have jumped into the air. On the remix we find a babe swinging on, now what do you call them, oh yes, a swing. The breeze seems to have blown most of her clothes off, though she does seem to have gotten quite high. Uplifting!

peters and lee welcome home remixpeters and lee welcome home 1This song by Peters & Lee is meant to greet us with a Welcome Home. On the original single front cover artwork the two band members are hugging and although this is quite welcoming, there's no home. On the remix, a woman is standing by the front door of her house waiting to welcome home her man in a most welcoming fashion, which is to say naked other than some stockings. Greetings!

honeyz finally found remixhoneyz finally found 1The Honeyz have Finally Found something or other, but from the original single front cover artwork, the only thing they seem to have found is a tailor who has made suits that are too low cut for them. On the remix we find a dude who has finally found the source of his babe's pleasure. The look on her face says it all... 'idiot man, of course that's where it is'. Enlightened!

Whisky In The Jar - Thin Lizzy

thin lizzy whisky in the jar remixxthin lizzy whisky in the jar 1Yesterday we remixed a single by Philip Lynott the guitarist and lead singer of Thin Lizzy and today it is the turn of the band themselves and their song Whisky In The Jar (note there is no 'e' in Whisky as they are obviously drinking Scotch, not Irish Whiskey, which is odd given the heritage of the band). Anyway, on the original cover we find the band members staring out at us from under their 70's mustaches and frizzy hair cuts. On the remix (one of our rare 'XXX-Rated Remixes') we find a babe who has put a bottle of whiskey in her jar (well that's one name for it anyway). Slurp!

Yellow Pearl - Philip Lynott

philip lynott yellow pearl remixphilip lynott yellow pearl 1Famously the lead singer with Thin Lizzy, Yellow Pearl is a solo outing for Philip Lynott. On the original single cover artwork we find Mr Lynott looking all rock and roll with his electric guitar, his cowboy boots and his fuzzy mop of a haircut. On the remix we find a babe who is a pearl of a girl, wearing yellow boots. A yellow pearl, as the contraction goes. Recline!
