frank sinatra witchcraft remixfrank sinatra witchcraft 1Frank Sinatra's songs regularly make excellent sources for remixing covers here at AllBum.Art. His 1958 song Witchcraft is no exception. On the original cover artwork we see Mr Sinatra. That's it. Just Mr Sinatra. What isn't obvious is that even in the 1950s there were ways to erase parts of a picture (like we use Photoshop today) and so the remix is not a remix but just the original unadulterated picture. And what do you see? Witchcraft!

Devil - Stereophonics

stereophonics devil remixstereophonics devil 1Now we kind of like the original cover for the song Devil by Stereophonics. They have tried to reflect the somewhat naughty nature of a devil by introducing what appears to be walls covered in multicolored slime and a babe whose provenance is questionable. As for the lipstick, that bit is not clear. But if we rearrange the contents of the original cover we could yield the remix which shows a babe whose provenance is questionable wearing lipstick and being a bit of a devil. Comprende?

Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic - The Police

police every little thing she does is magic remixpolice every little thing she does is magic 1In the run-up to Halloween, we thought we at AllBum.Art should provide a few remixes of the cover artwork of some Halloween Hits. We're beginning gently with this remix of a song by The Police of their song Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic. The original cover is a little mystical, perhaps. In the remix we see the magician who is casting her spells on the band. Is it any wonder that they were so entranced by her that they felt the need to write a song about it? Abracadabra!

Killer Queen - Queen

queen killer queen 2queen killer queen 1The original cover of Killer Queen by British rock megaband Queen is, to put it mildly, lackluster. It just shows the band with floppy 1970s haircuts looking, if anything, bored. The remix shows exactly what it should, a devilishly dastardly queen whose looks could kill, let along her evil magic. Whatever you do, don't drink the glowing purple substance in the wine glass she is holding, that's sure to make her a killer queen for sure.

Somebody's Watching Me - Rockwell

rockwell watching me remixrockwell watching me 1As it's Halloween, time for something appropriate to the date (or inappropriate as the case may be). The cover for the 1984 single Somebody's Watching Me from Rockwell has as couple of eyes peering out of the corner but no indication of what it is that they are watching. Spooky as it may seem, it looks like what Rockwell was looking at was some naked chick in a Halloween outfit!

Devil In A New Dress - Kanye West

kanye west devil dress remixkanye west devil dress 1Devil In A New Dress was a 2010 single by rapper Kanye West, word. Some credit is due to Mr West for the original single which features, in the background, some chick wearing stockings and suspenders. Sadly the contrast is reduced to next to nothing so we can't see here that well. Crank up the contrast, move the title out of the way, and lo and behold, there is a devil who is wearing next to nothing. Word.

alison moyet that ole devil remixalison moyet that ole devil 1Another submission from England where Alison Moyet is pop chart gold, at least so Gusty Tillson (you couldn't make these British names up - what were their parents thinking) tells us. The cover shows Ms Moyet 'carping on' about That Ole Devil Called Love. The remix shows the devil up to no good with his trident aiming firmly at the devil's triangle. Good one Gusty!

Thriller - Michael Jackson

michael jackson thriller remixmichael jackson thriller 1Anyone of a certain age remembers the video for Thriller by Michael Jackson. If you don't, think Glee with Zombies. But the cover of his 1982 album shows no signs of the dancing Zombie nature of the video, or the cackles of Vincent Price on the soundtrack. And so, Mr Jackson's cover has been remixed to show a Zombie. Whether this one can dance is unknown, but perhaps she is getting lessons from Mr Jackson now that he is six feet under?

blue oyster cult dont fear the reaper remixblue oyster cult dont fear the reaper 1The 1970s were funny days. Hilarious in fact. The cover from (Don't Fear) The Reaper by the Blue Öyster Cult demonstrates this perfectly. What the hell is going on there then? Don't even begin to try and analyze it. Instead, use the remixed version in which we see two helpless girls who are sat in front of a grave with the reaper in the background. Do they fear him. It does not appear so. How do we know this? They are smiling (even perhaps giggling), are topless, are wearing silly outfits and one girl appears to be pulling the other's panties down. Fear. Nada.

Devil Inside - INXS

inxs devil inside remixinxs devil inside 1This submission from Troy Shakespeare of Australia shows just how far AllBum.Art has reached. The cover of Devil Inside by Aussie rockers INXS is meritorious in itself in that it reflects the name of the song in the picture. We like Troy's remixed cover better though, as it adds to the original cover art in so many ways. Is the chick Australian? That Troy doesn't tell us, but what we really want to know is whether there is a devil inside, or just a hot chick in a red jumpsuit.
