Float On - The Floaters

floaters float on remixfloaters float on 1One of those 1970s soul classics, Float On by The semi-eponymous Floaters has a really terrible cover. That's not to say that a picture of the band isn't a credible attempt, but boys, please, the name of the band and the name of the song involve floating, so where's the floatiness? The answer is in the remix where we see a hot chick floating on a swimming pool. The odd thing is that she has left her heels on. Float on...

Air Hostess - Busted

busted air hostess remixbusted air hostess 1Whilst we are on a transport theme, what about moving from trains to planes. Hey presto! Here is a remix of the 2004 single from British boy band Busted. The original cover of Air Hostess clearly demonstrates that the boys in the band find the idea of air hostesses sexy. Our remix has just turned the 'sexy' up to 11 and replaced the hostess that the boys were staring at, with the same girl but later in the flight. Looks like their game of strip poker paid off!

Last Train To Trancentral - The KLF

klf trancentral remixklf trancentral 1Here at AllBum.Art we are rather fond of pictures of naked chicks in and around train tracks (the reasons for which are unknown but might perhaps be to do with how boring rail journeys generally are). Anyhow, what better than to add another remix to the list and this time an obscure 1990s single from The KLF and their single Last Train To Trancentral. Where Trancentral is remains a mystery but if the remixed cover is anything to go by, then ticket sales for the last train will be brisk.

Through The Barricades - Spandau Ballet

spandau ballet barricades remixspandau ballet barricades 1According to this 1980s new wave single from Spandau Ballet, we made our love on wasteland, and Through The Barricades (that's what the chorus says anyhow). But the cover shows nothing of this at all. Now it does score some points because it has a picture of the band on it, but shows nothing of the aforementioned barricades. The remix is much more revealing, in many ways. As we can see the wasteland, the barricades and exactly why they would want to make their love there when there must have been more comfortable locations available.

Centerfold - J Geils Band

j geils band centerfold remixj geils band centerfold 1Time for the remix of cover art that is just screaming for one. This 1981 single from the J Geils Band has on its cover a picture which is presumably meant to reflect what represented a centerfold in the 80s, though actually a quick Goggle[sic] search for 80s centerfolds reveals a lot more than the cover does! So the cover has been remixed to put a 2010s centerfold on the cover. And for the 2010s the centerfold we have selected is pretty tame, and pretty. Much like the 80s ones weren't as well!

Blue Suede Shoes - Elvis Presley

elvis presley blue suede 1elvis presley blue suede 2elvis presley blue suede remix
Not the first remix of the cover of a single for Elvis Presley. This time it's the rockabilly classic Blue Suede Shoes which is just begging for modernization. Although a picture of Elvis is what set the world alight in the late 1950s, these days it's hot chicks that do it (and probably what did it for Elvis too). So two remixes. One just with a very sexy pair of blue suede high heel stiletto shoes. And the second with a hot babe wearing a very sexy pair of blue suede high heel stiletto shoes! Take your pick (as no doubt Elvis did).

Poison Arrow - ABC

abc poison arrow remixabc poison arrow 1Another single cover remix that has been initiated by a picture. This time it's 1980s new wave band ABC and their single Poison Arrow that gets the remix. We have replaced the picture of a sexy female archer holding some arrows with a similar picture of a sexy female archer but this time drawing her bow. And wouldn't you know it, for some reason, firing that poison arrow has made all her clothes fall off. Dangerous!

We Don't Have To Take Our Clothes Off - Da Playaz Versus Clea

clea clothes off remixclea clothes off 1Taking clothes off seems to be a recurring theme here at AllBum.Art, for very good reasons. This time it's a remix of the cover version of We Don't Have To Take Our Clothes Off by Da Playaz Versus Clea which is doing the honors. Instead of the original band members with their clothes on, the remixed cover art shows a lot more girls with their clothes off. They didn't have to take them off, but it's nice that they did, wouldn't you agree?

Whip It - Devo

devo whip it 2devo whip it 1Whip It by Devo is one of those songs that will probably be played forever more at discos and parties across the nation. Why? Because the idea of 'whipping it good' provides an image that most party-goers would see as being the next steps to a successful night after the party has ended. But unlike the original cover for the single, it isn't standing around a globe of the world that they have in mind, but more like the remixed version no doubt!

Light My Fire - Will Young

will young light fire remixwill young light fire 1Aah... there's nothing so natural to behold as naked girls frolicking in the woods. So all that's needed is an excuse to use a picture of some. And this version of the classic song Light My Fire by British singer Will Young is just screaming for a remix. Gone is Mr Young's chinny grin, to be replaced by, well, naked girls frolicking in the woods. Oh, and poking a fire with a stick, just so that there is a connection with the title of the song. It would be a gratuitous use of pictures of naked girls otherwise!
