Dreaming - Glen Goldsmith

glen goldsmith dreaming remixglen goldsmith dreaming 1It may well be the case that Glen Goldsmith is (or was) in a dreamy mood when he posed for the picture on the original single cover artwork of Dreaming, but it's not that apparent from his gaze. On the remix we find a babe lounging on a chair, eyes closed, feet in the air, and as far as we can tell she is dreamy, or dreaming, or even day-dreaming. In the end it probably doesn't matter as she could be the subject of many dreams, dry or wet. Sleepy!

Can You Handle It - Sharon Redd

sharon redd can you handle it remixsharon redd can you handle it 1Some songs beg a good remix purely for asking questions that are then not fully answered by the cover of the single, and this is one of those. The cover for Can You Handle It by Sharon Redd shows Ms Redd, but fails to address the question of what it is that we have to determine can, or can not, be handled. The remix shows a brunette asking (you can tell she is puzzled through the look in her eyes), a blonde, whether she can handle it. It seems the blonde herself has a lot to handle but the brunette has even more. Question!

Love Is A Stranger - Eurythmics

eurythmics love is a stranger remixeurythmics love is a stranger 1We have taken a little poetic license in producing the remix of Love Is A Stranger by the Eurythmics. In replacing the two weird looking singers of the band, we have used an image that would more accurately fit if the title was 'love is stranger', as we find a babe whose boobs appear constricted, wearing shoes with such a high heel that she couldn't possibly walk any distance in them, having her leg examined by a guy in a black mask. Stranger!

Agadoo - Black Lace

black lace agadoo 2black lace agadoo 1Agadoo doo doo, push pineapple, shake the tree. Now come on, Black Lace, what exactly were you on when you put the lyrics for this song together? It certainly wasn't just pineapple juice. For the remix, and as we have absolutely no idea whatsoever what an agadoo is, we have instead focused on the black lace and replaced the original picture of the two wet gits with their curly girly hair with two hot babes wearing black lace. Fitting!

Drowning In Berlin - Mobiles

mobiles drowning in berlin 2[mobiles drowning in berlin 1One of those 1980's over romantic new glamorous type affairs here for Mobiles and their single Drowning In Berlin. The thing is, on the cover, there isn't so much as a drop of water in which to drown (though there are lots of overly wet people). On the remix there is just the one babe who has been caught in the rain and who is going to get very wet even under her umbrella (ella, ey, ey, ey). Is she in Berlin? That is for you to work out. Wall!

99 Red Balloons - Nena

nena 99 red balloons 2nena 99 red balloons 1We are approaching the end of the runway, or more specifically our rather lengthy season of flying themed remixes. And how do you know this? Well we've been reduced to remixing songs with balloons in their title, such as 99 Red Balloons by Nena. This was a massive hit all over Europe in the 1980s but the original cover lacks not 99 balloons but any at all. The remix still doesn't have 99 red balloons but it does have 15 of them which is a large improvement. Helium!

Back In The High Life - Steve Winwood

steve winwood back in the high life 2steve winwood back in the high life 1Back In The High Life by Steve Winwood was both a single and an album and continues our theme of flying. On the original cover we find Mr Winwood smiling at something, though the picture is so blurry, it's not evident what that something might be. The remix may answer the question, as we find that the pilot of the plane that is taking Mr Winwood to the high life is really hot and is not wearing a traditional pilot's uniform but far far less. Runway!

Crash - Primitives

primitives crash 2primitives crash 1Whilst we're still on the subject of flying, here's a cautionary tale. Not all flights end up with a happy landing, and here we find Crash by the Primitives. The original cover doesn't show us anything to indicate what has crashed or where, but the remix solves this problem as we find a babe standing in front of a downed aircraft that has presumably crashed. A cautionary tale indeed... always listen to the air hostess when she gives the safety briefing. Here, here and here!

You Take Me Up - Thompson Twins

thompson twins you take me up remixthompson twins you take me up 1Yes, we're still in the midst of a set of remixes concerning flying with this remix of You Take Me Up by the Thompson Twins (all three of them). On the original cover all we can see as a tambourine. It is being held high but does it really take you up. On the remix we find a babe in an elevator, which, as long as it is functioning correctly will take you up, as well as down. OK, so it's not a plan, but going up is what aircraft do. As for going down...

Learning To Fly - Pink Floyd

pink floyd learning to fly remixpink floyd learning to fly 1We continue our summer season of flying-based remixes with Learning To Fly by Pink Floyd. Just what the band were thinking when putting together the cover for their single is unknown, but it seems that wearing carpet slippers made of grass is somehow connected with flying. Not for us. Instead we find a hot babe standing by a helicopter, but whatever lesson she is supposed to be having, seems to be less about flying and more about stripping. Shame? Not really.
