Anyone For Tennis - Cream

cream anyone for tennis 2cream anyone for tennis 1Anyone For Tennis? A cry that goes out through the ages to those who enjoy that kind of racket (see what we did there). Cream sang about this in 1968. But, and here's the rub, the cover of their single, singularly fails to sing or even hum anything that is connected with the ancient and vaguely incomprehensible sport of tennis. We see the band members, lazing around in denim jackets. This balls-up is corrected in the remixed cover with the net result being a cute tennis babe who, if she uttered the phrase 'anyone for tennis' would certainly attract more love than the members of the band would have. Deuce!

I Saw Her Standing There - The Beatles

beatles i saw her standing there remixbeatles i saw her standing there 1Another remix for those British boys The Beatles. This time for their 1963 song I Saw Her Standing There. On the original cover we see the fab four but where is her, the her that should be standing there? Thankfully the remix of the cover identifies her. Her is standing there, and her is, it would seem, naked. Why is she standing there? And where is there? So many questions. Quizzical!

peter paul mary leaving on a jet plane remixpeter paul mary leaving on a jet plane 1This is turning into a bit of a transport-related week of single cover remixes here at AllBum.Art. We have now found Amarillo and are going to get there by Leaving On A Jet Plane. And we are being joined by Peter, Paul & Mary. But who is going to serve us a few tequilas? We need an air-hostess, that's what's missing. Thankfully, we have found one and by the looks of her, the flight will be very entertaining. Zoom!

Do You Know The Way To San Jose - Dionne Warwick

way to san jose warwick remixway to san jose warwick 1It seems that Tony Christie isn't the only one who is having problems trying to find their way around the country. Dionne Warwick seems equally lost as she asks Do You Know The Way To San Jose? Actually, we don't know either but we figured that a naked hitch-hiker (other than her rucksack) on a desert road might do better at finding the answer so we replaced Ms Warwick from the original cover with just that image. Uplifting!

In The Year 2525 - Zager And Evans

zager evans in the year 2525 2zager evans in the year 2525 1What do you expect the world to look like In The Year 2525? Well according to Zager And Evans, it looks like a swirly lava-lamp which is what the makers of Star Trek often used to think the future would look like as well. Maybe in 1969 lava-lamps were seen as the future. But in the 2010s, the future looks more attractive and so the remix shows one possible view of the world in 2525 - a hot babe who is either part android, or is totally android. Either way, she still looks great. Visionary!

Keep On Running - The Spencer Davis Group

spencer davis keep on runnning remixspencer davis keep on runnining 1You know what? The original cover to Keep On Running by The Spencer Davis Group scores full marks on the AllBum.Art score sheet. It features the band and illustrates the title of the song, as they are running. So from that point of view there's almost no reason to provide a remix. Except that we found this picture of 5 busty naked babes running along a beach and if only we could see them, it is certain that keeping them running on would provide a large amount of entertainment. Hemispherical!

Groovin' - The Young Rascals

young rascals groovin remixyoung rascals groovin 1The Young Rascals would have us all a-Groovin' and a-moovin' no doubt if they could, in their wacky way. How do we know they groove in a wacky way, well the cover of their single suggests this as the band members sprawl around in a myriad of elevations and angles. The remix shows a bunch of young folk, groovin away at a party. Are they rascals though? It looks like it - they're partying with no clothes on. Jiggly!

Soul Limbo - Booker T And The MG's

booker t soul limbo remixbooker t soul limbo 1Hmmm... What exactly are Booker T And The MG's up to on the cover of their 1969 single Soul Limbo? They are standing around on a beach, hidden under some pillars staring at a hot ebony babe in a white bikini. Just what are they expecting to happen next. And where's any accoutrements necessary for limbo dancing? Only one of those questions is answered in the remix of the cover for the single. What happens next is that the hot ebony babe is replaced by an even hotter one. Scorching!

Stranger On The Shore - Mr Acker Bilk

mr acker bilk stranger 2mr acker bilk stranger 1We're very much enjoying our summer vacation and all of the remixes associated with it. As it is, we are lounging on the shore and who should walk past us but some sexy stranger. And of course, that is almost certainly what Mr Acker Bilk had in mind when he penned Stranger On The Shore. Unfortunately the cover of his 1961 single does not reflect this, but our remix does. Sandy!

Hot Fun In The Summertime - Sly And The Family Stone

sly family stone hot fun summertime remixsly family stone hot fun summertime 1We're still in a sunny mood, remixing covers of those 'summer sizzlers' that are made for beaches, pools, lakes and anywhere that a bikini is the right thing to wear. Here we have Sly And The Family Stone with their 1969 song Hot Fun In The Summertime. It's not clear why there is hot fun to be had on the original cover. On the remix, it's very clear (if a little fuzzy). Three naked babes. Now where did their bikinis go? Lost!
