stooshe waterfalls remixstooshe waterfalls 1Like many a time here at AllBum.Art a remix of the cover art of a song has been spurred on, not by the original artwork, but by a single picture that just deserved to grace the front of a cover. This is the case with this remix of the 2012 cover of TLC's Waterfalls by British band Stooshe. Originally the remix was going to be of the TLC version but this cover version has introduced us to the sexy trio of talent from England whose single seems more appropriately positioned for a remix than the original. What do you think?

Where The Streets Have No Name - U2

u2 where the streets have name remixu2 where the streets have name 1Where, indeed, do the streets have no name, that is the question we should be asking. But this question is not answered by the cover of U2's 1987 single Where The Streets Have No Name. We could only think of one place where the streets have no name, and that would be where no-one cares what the name is because there is something more important to distract them from this inane question. Something like, for example, a naked chick standing on the street in question. And hey, that's what the remixed single cover shows. How great is that?

Macarena - Los Del Rio

los del rio macarena remixlos del rio macarena 1The Macarena was a world-wide dance craze in the mid 1990s, brought to us by the power of three old Spanish crooners called Los Del Rio. The dance involved folding your arms every which way (but loose) and then, after some arm flailing, a couple of jumps to take you through 90 degrees to point in a different direction completed the moves and you begin again. The cover, oh dear! No sign of what to do. The remix shows some girls in mid-Macarena and gives you an idea of why the dance was so successful, especially in holiday resorts up and down the coast.

Walk Like An Egyptian - The Bangles

bangles walk egyptian remixbangles walk egyptian 1Walk Like An Egyptian is the well known single from LA band The Bangles. The cover of their 1986 single leaves a lot to be desired, though. Not only does it not contain a picture of the sexy band members themselves (which would surely have been sufficient for the cover not to require a remix), but it does not show any signs of walking. The remix shows how modern Egyptians walk, which is to say they don't - instead they just lean around, topless, on ancient stone pillars. Each to their own...

I'll Be Waiting - Lenny Kravitz

Onkel Joz writes to us to suggest his remix of the cover for Lenny Kravitz 2008 song I'll Be Waiting. As you can see, Joz's remix is rather subtle and just adds in the words 'wait even longer mix' and corrects the jaunty angle that was an abhorrent slur on the original cover. What Joz also provides us with is his own waiting even longer mix of the song - nice touch. We think the cover could do with a bit more remixing though, so we've also replaced Mr Kravitz with a naked babe who is clearly waiting for something. Let's hope that whatever it is that she is waiting for won't take too long arriving otherwise she is going to get very cold.

Blue Eyes - Elton John

elton john blue eyes remixelton john blue eyes 1The second remix for 70s popster Elton John. This time for his song Blue Eyes, the original cover for which features Mr Dwight leaning on what appears to be a pole (as used in the eponymous dance act). Did they have those in 1982? Anyhow, the remix just shows a babe with blue eyes, who, for some reason, has had white duct tape stuck over her mouth. Bizarre!

Legs - ZZ Top

zztop legs 2zztop legs 1Just a simple update of this classic 1980s rock track from ZZ Top. The original cover does a pretty good job of identifying the kind of legs that the Top boys are singing about. But that was nearly 30 years ago. Today, skirts are shorter and heels are higher and the remixed cover does a good job of reflecting today's more extreme leg related situation, together with a bit of cleavage for that truly 2010s feel. Oh, and we've done away with the whole stupid car thing as well. Eliminator: what were they thinking of?

Just The Way You Are - Bruno Mars

bruno mars the way you are remixbruno mars the way you are 1Another remix for Mr Bruno Mars. This time it's his 2010 single Just The Way You Are. What is all that craziness going on on the cover? A mosaic of a face of a woman... is that how Mr Hernandez likes his women. And is that how Mr Hernandez wants his women to remain? Us, we prefer a naked chick in stockings and high heels and as far as it goes, she can be just the way she is all day if she wants to!

Here Is The News - Electric Light Orchestra

elo here is news remixelo here is news 1The remix for this 1982 single from the Electric Light Orchestra was prompted by the closure of the local newspaper. Apparently no one reads newspapers any more, they get their news on TV or online. The original cover of Here Is The News shows the band standing on (or in front of) what appears to be the roof of a newspaper office. The remix has brought this right up to date and instead of the newspaper there is a girl with a TV camera. And wouldn't you know it, she's naked. Naked news, now that sounds like a good idea...

I Talk To The Trees - Clint Eastwood

clint eastwood trees remixclint eastwood trees 1Did you even know that Clint Eastwood was a singer? Yes, he had a single in 1969 with a song taken from the movie Paint Your Wagon. The cover of the single I Talk To The Trees shows Mr Eastwood together with Mr Marvin sitting by a camp fire so where are the trees and why are they on speaking terms with them? In the remix we see the forest pixie who they were really talking with who fooled them into thinking they were talking to trees and not some hot nude babe by making a whooshing noise when she spoke. Try it for yourself!
