Planet Love - DJ Quicksilver

dj quicksilver planet love remixdj quicksilver planet love 1Where is Planet Love? According to DJ Quicksilver it is a roiling ball of lava deep in space. Most of us would equate the planet of love as being Venus, however, as this is the most widely recognized planet with love-based credentials. So let us take a look at the surface of planet love and see if we can find out why it gets its reputation. On the remix we can see a babe strung out across the ultra-hot surface (making her ultra-hot too). Now the credentials become clear. Sulfur!

Another triple-play from us here at AllBum.Art from those burly Brits, M People and their surly song Sight For Sore Eyes. (Note: they aren't really burly and the song isn't surly but the alliteration sounded nice!) What it is about the original cover that would make a sight for sore eyes is not clear, but on the two remixes there are things which definitely sooth the optic organs. (Enough with the alliteration already). Surprise!

Step It Up - Stereo MCs

stereo mcs step it up 2stereo mcs step it up 1One of those covers where the band like to pose in 'showbiz' poses, or at least that's what the original artwork for Step It Up by the Stereo MCs says to use here at AllBum.Art. Which is why it needs remixing. And on the remix we find a babe who is stepping up some stairs. Far less showbiz, for sure, but eminently more connected with stepping up things. What do you reckon? Is it a step in the right direction? Ambulate!

Purple Love Balloon - Cud

cud purple love balloon remixcud purple love balloon 1Another flying related remix, this time from Cud and their song Purple Love Balloon (a.k.a. Flotavius Purpolis Passionatum). On the original cover we find an odd interpretation of the song's title, with the purple love balloon in question actually being an egg plant. OK, so it's purple but it's not really a balloon. On the remix we find a babe standing around holding a number of different colored balloons. So as there is no confusion, the specific purple balloon that is the love balloon is indicated by a purple arrow. Aubergine!

Cloud Number 9 - Bryan Adams

bryan adams cloud number 9 remixbryan adams cloud number 9 1This song is variously titled 'Cloud #9', 'Cloud Number 9' and 'Cloud Number Nine' so take your pick as Bryan Adams seemed to have done, and thrown it at a pot of blue paint which has covered the model on the original cover artwork. As we continue our series of remixes dedicated to flying, we take to the clouds for this remix and find three angels getting dressed to go and do their daily chores, whatever they may be. Now that is a cloud worth visiting. Cumulonimbus!

Learning To Fly - Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers

tom petty learning to fly 2tom petty learning to fly 1If it wasn't enough that Pink Floyd have a single called Learning To Fly, but so, as we continue our remixes dedicated to flying, does Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers! On the original cover we find the band standing around (what is it with bands that do this on their covers). On the remix we find yet another babe keen to gain her wings and learn to pilot an aircraft. Nice uniform - no doubt she has broken a few hearts in her time. Let's just hope she doesn't break the aircraft. Brace!

cast flying 2cast flying 1August is upon us, and so people begin to disappear on their summer vacations. To celebrate their departure, we begin the month with a series of remixes dedicated to Flying, with a song with exactly that title from band Cast. On the original cover we find the band members standing around looking at something in the sky. On the remix we find a hot aviation babe standing by the tail of an aircraft. She may not by flying yet, but surely someone will whisk her off her feet soon. Aviate!

Power Of A Woman - Eternal

eternal power of a woman 2eternal power of a woman 1Eternal sing sweetly for us about the Power Of A Woman as the sit sweetly in sepia-toned silence. Now this may be a powerful picture to some people, but we prefer our power more obvious and so on the remix we have replaced the girl band with a woman whose power is so strong, she is connected up to the electricity grid. Whether she is consuming or supplying the power is, somehow, irrelevant and so the only question remains as to how many Volts she could generate. High Energy!

lighthouse family high 2lighthouse family high 1It would seem that the Lighthouse Family may be vertically challenged. The other remix on the AllBum.Art web-site is 'Lifted' and this one is called High. The original cover may show the band members standing on a very high platform, or they may be on the ground, it is difficult to tell. On the remix, however, the babe in question is standing on very high platform heels that must be 8 inches or more. Lofty!

Down That Road - Shara Nelson

shara nelson down that road remixshara nelson down that road 1What road should we be heading down, Shara Nelson? Why, Down That Road of course. But which road is that? It is the road where you hold your hands together in prayer and stare out into great white nothingness. OK, but that's not really very helpful is it, couldn't you point us in the right direction? OK, but let me remix the cover first. Now that's better, so you want us to go down the road that is being pointed out by the topless babe in the hi-viz jacket, even though it appears to have been closed? Yes. Thanks.
