Tie Your Mother Down - Queen

queen tie your mother down 2queen tie your mother down 1Another remix for rock legends Queen. Tie Your Mother Down was one of their more obscure 1970s hits and the original cover may have something to do with this. Though it displays the band's fancy logo, and shows a picture of the band, where is mother and who, what or where is she being tied down? The remix, thankfully, answers these questions as we find that mother has been tied to the stairs with red rope. Shibari!

Get Lifted - John Legend

john legend get lifted remixjohn legend get lifted 1Get Lifted! That is what John Legend is telling us to do on the cover artwork of his album. But is he? There is no indication that his mouth is moving to give us this instruction. Nor is there any particular sign of what it is that is to be lifted. All very mysterious. Or at least it is until you take a look at what is standing in front or Mr Legend. A babe who, despite the apparent lack of instruction, has taken Mr Legend at his word and has indeed got lifted. Skirt!

Stairway Of Love - Michael Holliday

michael holliday stairway of love 2michael holliday stairway of love 1A Stairway Of Love, that is what Michael Holliday sings about in this 1950s crooner style song. And who could not forgive Mr Holliday for putting his croony face on the cover of his single? But surely something better can be done? Of course it can. That is why we here at AllBum.Art exist, to serve your remixed artwork needs. So we have replaced Mr Holliday with a real stairway of love. One that we would love to climb and reach the top. Ascend!

Big In Japan - Alphaville

alphaville big in japan remixalphaville big in japan 1Alphaville tell us that they are Big In Japan. They may indeed have been the case in the 1980s. We don't know if it's true and can't even be bothered to look it up to find out. What we do know is that volleyball is big in Japan. Also that young naked women are also quite a big deal in Japan. Oh, and whilst we're at it, most of those naked young Japanese women are quite small. So the remix shows a naked Japanese woman holding a volleyball. And to make sure that it's plenty big in Japan, she is far more busty than the typical Asian. Konnichiwa!

Pull Up To The Bumper - Grace Jones

grace jones pull up to the bumper remixgrace jones pull up to the bumper 1Ah yes. Grace Jones. No mystery to odd pictures and weird remixes. The original cover shows Ms Jones in a typical pose. Boxing wear including a t-shirt that is too small (or maybe not, depending on your point of view). But no sign of any transport that might require a bumper to be pulled up to. The remix shows a babe pulling along a chariot of some kind. Presumably if she has to park it on the street, she would need to pull it up to the bumper. Exactly!

Food For Thought - UB40

ub40 food for thought remixub40 food for thought 1The original cover of Food For Thought by British reggae band UB40 is extremely poor indeed (as those British say). But this was the band's first single so perhaps they were poor at the time and therefore unable to afford a proper cover. We, at AllBum.Art have therefore done them the honor of providing them with a cover that really does provide food for thought, well at least it provides food, and something worth some thought. Yummy!

Four Little Heels - Brian Hyland

brian hyland four little heels remixbrian hyland four little heels 1A user submitted entry by Colin Hesketh of England. We will let Colin tell you the story.
The original of Four Little Heels by Brian Hyland doesn't have any heels on it at all. My remix has two women, both wearing heels, which maked 4 heels in total.

Quite right Colin. We note that they are taking pictures of each other too, which is an admirable passtime and very 1960s. Flash!

You Lift Me Up - Rebekah Ryan

rebekah ryan you lift me up remixrebekah ryan you lift me up 1Rebekah Ryan sings You Lift Me Up. But the odd thing is that on the cover of her single, there is no evidence of any lifting going on. That being said, her feet are off the bottom of the picture and it is therefore quite possible that there is someone or something doing some lifting that is out of shot. On the remix we find a babe who is definitely being lifted. For some reason she is being lifted by a chain-mail clad knight. For some other reason she is also naked. Go figure!

Lifting Me Higher - Gems For Jem

gems for jem lifting me higher remixgems for jem lifting me higher 1One of those single covers where no effort whatsoever has been paid. Does it instruct us who Jem is? No. Does it show us the gems that are for Jem? No. Does it show us what is being lifted? No. Does it explain why it is being lifted higher and not lower? No. The remix answers many, though not all, of these questions. It shows us a babe. Who is lifting up her top. Higher than she really ought to. Vertical!

Ladyflash - The Go Team

the go team ladyflash 2the go team ladyflash 1We would call the original cover of Ladyflash by The Go Team a complete failure. It does not show the band members at all, it doesn't have a lady on the cover, and there is no flash. The remix solves at least two of these problems, as we see what is definitely a lady, and in a pose where she is flashing just enough that she can remain ladylike but do the cheeky flashing bit as well. A difficult combination to pull off, but one she achieves admirably. Classy!
