Lady Rose - Mungo Jerry

mungo jerry lady rose 2mungo jerry lady rose 1What a terrible original single cover from Mungo Jerry an their song entitled Lady Rose. It simply consists of a photo of the band members looking sullen against a red background, with some extraneous colored shapes designed to make it look as if they are sitting in what looks like a urinal. Thank goodness for AllBum.Art and our remix in which we find a lady (well more of a babe really) lying on her bed, surrounded by rose petals. Floral!

Barefootin' - Robert Parker

robert parker barefootin remixrobert parker barefootin 1We get the idea of the original single cover artwork for Barefootin' by Robert Parker, which is that some three footed person has painted their feet a different color then walked across the cover. A nice try for sure, and it must have been difficult to have found someone with three feet. On the remix, an alternative view of the song's title, as we find a cute young babe waking barefoot across a sandy beach. And it's not just her feet that are bare. Dunes!

Sexy - MFSB

mfsb sexy 2mfsb sexy 1So let's see now, MFSB's idea of what to put on the original single front cover artwork for a song called Sexy is some roses floating in the wind above the sea. Maybe that's what classes for sexy in Philadelphia? On the remix we find a sexy looking babe, who is pouting in a sexy way, and who is wearing a sexy necklace and has her eye make-up done all sexily. Presumably she wouldn't make the cut in Philly? Sexy!

Joyride - Roxette

roxette joyride remixroxette joyride 1What does a Joyride look like? According to Roxette, it looks like an elephant, some light bulbs and some nondescript theater scenery props. Not for AllBum.Art! For us, it looks like an old fella being ridden by a young girl who is way above his pay grade. Then again, maybe he has paid for this particular joy. Does he look like the kind of guy who would do that, and does she look like the kind of babe who would accept that. Scenery!

My Friend The Sea - Petula Clark

petula clark my friend the sea 2petula clark my friend the sea 1My Friend The Sea is who Petula Clark sings about. Good for her! But on the original single cover artwork, if Ms Clark is standing near the sea, this is not clear as the beach is totally out of the shot. On the remix we find a babe who is definitely good friends with the sea and we know this because she is enjoying a stroll along the beach at sunset (or it is sunrise) and looks most chummy with the waves. Splash!

showaddywaddy you got what it takes 2showaddywaddy you got what it takes 1Showaddywaddy tell us that You Got What It Takes, but the original single cover artwork tells us only one thing - that whoever designed it didn't have what it takes. Thankfully, we here at AllBum.Art have got what it takes, to remix artwork that is. On the remix we find a babe who has got what it takes, to entice us to join her amidst her red bed sheets. Scarlet!

I Can Prove It - Phil Fearon

phil fearon i can prove it 2phil fearon i can prove it 1So Phil Fearon thinks that he is so good that he sings I Can Prove It. Who does he think he is, Einstein? According to the original front cover artwork for his single, he is having a double take at some babe wearing high heel stiletto court shoes. What does that prove? On the remix he is looking at a different babe who is also wearing high heel shoes and has her panties around her thighs. This doesn't really prove anything either, so it's all rather pointless. Sharp!

Spotlight - Jennifer Hudson

jennifer hudson spotlight 2jennifer hudson spotlight 1The one thing that seems to be missing from the original single front cover artwork of Spotlight by Jennifer Hudson is much light. Whilst Ms Hudson's face is lit, if that is by a spotlight then it is clearly in need of a new bulb. On the remix we find a babe who is in an equally dark place but whose spotlight has got a shiny new bulb in it, as it is lighting her up very successfully. Why she is leaning on a wall in nothing but her lingerie is another mystery. Trouper!

18 With A Bullet - Pete Wingfield

pete wingfield 18 with a bullet 2pete wingfield 18 with a bullet 1Pete Wingfield sings about someone who is 18 With A Bullet in this single, but on the original cover artwork we just find Mr Wingfield himself reading a magazine in his kitchen (it looks like he might be eating breakfast). So who is this mysterious 18 year old, and what's the story with the bullet? In the remix these questions are solved as we find a teenage babe holding a rifle in her hands. Is it loaded with bullets? We don't know but perhaps it's best not to ask. Kalashnikov!

Whilst we are in a doggy-related mode, here's another canine remix. We give Peter Shelly several bonus points for appearing on the original front cover artwork of his single Love Me Love My Dog, with his mutt. On the first remix we find another babe who loves her dog, so much so in fact that she has taken him for a walk and completely forgotten to put on any clothes. On the second remix we find another babe cuddling her mutt who seems very contented nestling amidst her ample bosom (well who wouldn't be). Doggy!
