showaddywaddy you got what it takes 2showaddywaddy you got what it takes 1Showaddywaddy tell us that You Got What It Takes, but the original single cover artwork tells us only one thing - that whoever designed it didn't have what it takes. Thankfully, we here at AllBum.Art have got what it takes, to remix artwork that is. On the remix we find a babe who has got what it takes, to entice us to join her amidst her red bed sheets. Scarlet!

18 With A Bullet - Pete Wingfield

pete wingfield 18 with a bullet 2pete wingfield 18 with a bullet 1Pete Wingfield sings about someone who is 18 With A Bullet in this single, but on the original cover artwork we just find Mr Wingfield himself reading a magazine in his kitchen (it looks like he might be eating breakfast). So who is this mysterious 18 year old, and what's the story with the bullet? In the remix these questions are solved as we find a teenage babe holding a rifle in her hands. Is it loaded with bullets? We don't know but perhaps it's best not to ask. Kalashnikov!

Whilst we are in a doggy-related mode, here's another canine remix. We give Peter Shelly several bonus points for appearing on the original front cover artwork of his single Love Me Love My Dog, with his mutt. On the first remix we find another babe who loves her dog, so much so in fact that she has taken him for a walk and completely forgotten to put on any clothes. On the second remix we find another babe cuddling her mutt who seems very contented nestling amidst her ample bosom (well who wouldn't be). Doggy!

Pretty Little Angel Eyes - Showaddywaddy

showaddywaddy pretty little angel eyes 2showaddywaddy pretty little angel eyes 1We are not sure which member of the band has the Pretty Little Angel Eyes that Showaddywaddy are referring to and singing about in their single. Is it one of the the guys wearing sunglasses maybe as the rest of the band look about as angelic as a bored dachshund eating mold from a toiled bowl. On the remix we find a pretty little angel. She has quite big eyes but as there is no punctuation in the song's title, we don't know if it the pretty angel should have little eyes, or whether any old eyes on a pretty angel will do. Quandary!

Get Up And Boogie - Silver Convention

silver convention get up and boogie 2silver convention get up and boogie 1We give Silver Convention half marks for the original single cover artwork of Get Up And Boogie. Why only half? Well full points for having the band members on there. Half marks as only two of them are wearing silver. And no marks for the fact that none of them appear to be having a boogie, or are in need of getting up (or down). On the remix we find three alternative babes. All are dressed in silver. One is having a boogie. And one needs to get up as she is lying on the floor. Top marks!

British Hustle - Hi-Tension

hi tension british hustle 2hi tension british hustle 1Hi-Tension sang about the British Hustle, which is presumably something like American Hustle but with a Dick Van Dyke accent. The original single cover artwork suggest that this may be the case. The remix tells a different story and we find out exactly how the British like to hustle, which seems to be by having a cute babe wear Union Jack shoes and a t-shirt and flashing her ass at us. Go Britain!

Yellow River - Christie

christie yellow river 2christie yellow river 1On the original single cover artwork to Yellow River by Christie, do we get any indication what the nature of this river is? No, we just find the band members who look as puzzled as we are by the nature of this saffron stream. Well boys, our remix helps understand the nature of this amber flow. It is caused by some helpless babe who has got caught short and has had to release her golden shower onto the nearby pavement causing, as it happens, a yellow river to form. Flaxen!

Ride A White Swan - T-Rex

t rex ride a white swan 2t rex ride a white swan 1In the 1970s when Marc Bolan of T-Rex told women around the world to Ride A White Swan, few, if any, had the slightest idea what he was talking about. Although the original cover artwork suggests that this means mounting a white swan and taking a ride, this was, at least in the 1970s both impractical and dangerous. Thankfully time has moved on an on the remix we find a babe who is literally riding a white (well more silver actually) swan. By a swimming pool of course. Cygnus!

Up-Town Up-Tempo Woman - Randy Edelman

randy edelman uptown uptempo woman 2randy edelman uptown uptempo woman 1What marks an Up-Town Up-Tempo Woman? According to the original single cover artwork, Randy Edelman thinks it is the wearing of yellow stiletto shoes whilst standing on a California license plate. We think differently and on the remix you find a babe who is up-town (or down-town, it's difficult to tell) and whose dancing is as up-tempo as it could ever need to be, when you are just wearing a see-through bikini. Cityscape!

Sweetie - The Headquarters

the headquarters sweetie 2the headquarters sweetie 1We like The Headquarters take on what constitutes being a Sweetie. On their original cover artwork they have a sweet babe and have cleverly used the text on the cover to conceal her sweetest parts. The remix does little to improve upon this, it just modernizes the single with a more up-to-date sweetie whose sweet bits are covered by her hair, her hands and the text of the record. Could it be any more modern? Seventies!
