Blue Jean - David Bowie

Cover Artwork Remix of David Bowie Blue Jean Original Cover Artwork of David Bowie Blue Jean David Bowie is a regular source of remixes here at AllBum.Art so finding Blue Jean here is no real surprise. What is surprising is that the original cover, though very blue, does not introduce us to Jean, whoever she may be. On the remix we find a babe who may, or may not, be called Jean. But she is wearing denim. Whether she is wearing blue jeans is less clear but does that part of the story matter so much? Indigo!

Afternoon Delight - Starland Vocal Band

Cover Artwork Remix of Starland Vocal Band Afternoon Delight Original Cover Artwork of Starland Vocal Band Afternoon Delight Looking for a little Afternoon Delight, that is what the Starland Vocal Band were trying to do but sadly the cover of their single fails to do this in any satisfactory way. A yellow lion hardly portrays a time of day, let alone an associated emotion. The remix fixed this with a group of ladies sitting around drinking afternoon tea. Why they are largely naked is unknown, but those Brits can be very weird at times, don't you know? Spiffing!

The Sun Goes Down (Living It Up) - Level 42

Cover Artwork Remix of Level 42 Sun Goes Down Original Cover Artwork of Level 42 Sun Goes Down As The Sun Goes Down, Level 42 entice us to buy their song by putting a badly drawn, 2-dimensional representation of some steps on the cover of their single. Now if you are going to live it up after sunset, or at least during sunset as the sun goes down, it would be helpful to have a party babe to do it with and that is exactly what the remix depicts. A babe, ready to live it us, as the sun goes down. Just what were Level 42 thinking in the first place? Uppy-downy!

Oops Upside Your Head - The Gap Band

Cover Artwork Remix of Gap Band Oops Upside Your Head Original Cover Artwork of Gap Band Oops Upside Your Head There is a tradition, in some circles, to dance to Oops Upside Your Head by The Gap Band by sitting down on the floor, one person behind another, and then flailing your arms around in time to the music whilst rocking backwards and forwards (no, trust us, there really is). We could not find a suitable picture of this dance, but we could find an unsuitable one of not quite doing the dance. Sadly, this forces the remix into the category of XXX-rated remi-XXX-es so there is a downside to the upside, or at least a back-side to it. Side!

Down That Road - Shara Nelson

Cover Artwork Remix of Shara Nelson Down That Road Original Cover Artwork of Shara Nelson Down That Road What road should we be heading down, Shara Nelson? Why, Down That Road of course. But which road is that? It is the road where you hold your hands together in prayer and stare out into great white nothingness. OK, but that's not really very helpful is it, couldn't you point us in the right direction? OK, but let me remix the cover first. Now that's better, so you want us to go down the road that is being pointed out by the topless babe in the hi-viz jacket, even though it appears to have been closed? Yes. Thanks.

Cover My Eyes (Pain And Heaven) - Marillion

Cover Artwork Remix of Marillion Cover My Eyes Original Cover Artwork of Marillion Cover My Eyes This remix comes with a warning. When a single such as Cover My Eyes (Pain And Heaven) by Marillion comes along, the remix team go a little cooky. The original cover is immensely dull, but the remix truly reflects heaven and pain and if you click to see the full-size version you may definitely want to cover your eyes as the sight you will behold may cause you pain. There are those who may see the picture on the remix as their idea of heaven, and all power to their elbows, but we think pain is the most likely response. Ouch!

In The Bush - Musique

Cover Artwork Remix of Musique In The Bush Original Cover Artwork of Musique In The Bush It's nice, sometimes, to be able to bring you remixes of tracks where even the original artwork is rare. Today it's the turn of Musique and their single In The Bush. It appears there are several meanings of the word 'bush' and on the original cover it seems to mean 'piece of land in the middle of nowhere' (as in the Australian bush). On the remix the meaning has been changed to 'hairy female parts' and we find a babe who has, for some reason, let her bush grow and then put her clothes over it, in her bush so to speak. Outback!

Lipstick Powder And Paint - Shakin' Stevens

Cover Artwork Remix of Shakin Stevens Lipstick Powder And Paint Original Cover Artwork of Shakin Stevens Lipstick Powder And Paint Good 'ole Shakin Stevens, whoever he is, sings about Lipstick Powder And Paint. But he isn't wearing any of those things on the cover artwork of his single. Thankfully there is an easy fix for this and on the remix we see a babe tidying her lipstick up, after having already dealt with her powder and paint. The rest of her outfit needs some work though as she surely isn't going to go out partying dressed like that? Then again, who would mind? Lippy!

Paint Me Down - Spandau Ballet

Cover Artwork Remix of Spandau Ballet Paint Me Down Original Cover Artwork of Spandau Ballet Paint Me Down Just because we had a whole week dedicated to Spandau Ballet remixes, doesn't mean there isn't room not to add yet another one. And hence we give you Paint Me Down. We have no idea what the picture on the original cover is meant to be illustrating, but we do know that on the remix is a woman doing some nude modelling for a painting class. Now in this context, painting her down presumably means starting from the top of the canvas. We're no experts, but that's what we would do. Brush!

Nice - Fat Larry's Band

Cover Artwork Remix of Fat Larrys Band Nice Original Cover Artwork of Fat Larrys Band Nice Another remix for Fat Larry's Band, and this time it's Nice! Nice, according to the original cover artwork, infers a bride wearing white lingerie including fishnet tights and high heels. Nice would be a good word to describe that apparition. In the remix nothing much has changed other than that the bride is wearing slightly less but otherwise little is changed. Less of a remix and more of a refresh. How refreshing, hand me a cold beer to make life complete.
