Ride A White Swan - T-Rex

t rex ride a white swan 2t rex ride a white swan 1In the 1970s when Marc Bolan of T-Rex told women around the world to Ride A White Swan, few, if any, had the slightest idea what he was talking about. Although the original cover artwork suggests that this means mounting a white swan and taking a ride, this was, at least in the 1970s both impractical and dangerous. Thankfully time has moved on an on the remix we find a babe who is literally riding a white (well more silver actually) swan. By a swimming pool of course. Cygnus!

Just One Look - The Hollies

hollies just one look 2hollies just one look 1It seems that The Hollies are fond of single cover artwork in which the band members appear in front of a red wall. On Just One Look, the banality of their cover is probably the reason why you wouldn't bother taking a second or third look. On the remix we find a babe who is offering you just one look. One look at what is underneath her bra. So you only have that one look to make your decision as to whether this remix is better than the original. Decide!

Breakthru - Queen

queen breakthru 2queen breakthru 1Have Queen made a Breakthru as the title of their single suggests? if you define breakthru as having the band members peering through a slit on the original cover artwork then maybe. Have we at AllBum.Art made a breakthru with the remix? Sadly not. But what we have achieved at least is to put a queen on the cover, and maybe that is sufficient of a breakthru to merit having the remix. Then again, maybe it isn't but who's counting? The King?

She's So High - Tal Bachman

tal bachman shes so high 2tal bachman shes so high 1When Tal Bachman tells us that She's So High, we would kind of expect the single cover artwork to help explain who she is and why she is so high. But no, we just find a picture of Mr Bachman (well he is Canadian after all). On the remix we find that she is a 1940s style pin-up girl, and the reason she is so high is because she is hanging on a ladder up in the clouds. Maybe it's hanging off an airship of some kind (they were around in the 1940s weren't they? even in Canada?) Climb!

A Different Corner - George Michael

george michael different corner 2george michael different corner 1Interesting isn't it not? When George Michael sings about A Different Corner, you kind of expect the single cover artwork to have a corner in the shot. Instead it's just Mr Michael walking through a forest. Well if that's how you want to handle it, who are we to disagree and in the remix we find a very similar shot but instead of Mr Michael walking through the forest it is a peachy-assed babe. Now are those peach trees in that forest? Apricot!

The Way You Make Me Feel - Michael Jackson

michael jackson the way you make me feel 2michael jackson the way you make me feel 1What is The Way You Make Me Feel? According to Michael Jackson it is standing as a silhouette against a slightly steamy blue background. So how's about a remix? We thought you'd never ask. On the remix is roughly the same scene, rotated through 90 degrees, with Mr Jackson replaced by another babe, and with the lights turned up. Could it be any clearer?

Turn Me On - Norah Jones

norah jones turn me on 2norah jones turn me on 1When receiving a request such as that from Norah Jones, which is to say that she has given the instruction to Turn Me On, we immediately think of light-bulbs, don't you? It seems, however, that on the original single cover artwork, Ms Jones has only thought of the title of the song, and her signature. That is why we remix these things you know. And on the remix we find a whole load of light-bulbs and a babe who we would also turn on if the bulbs failed. Switch!

Up-Town Up-Tempo Woman - Randy Edelman

randy edelman uptown uptempo woman 2randy edelman uptown uptempo woman 1What marks an Up-Town Up-Tempo Woman? According to the original single cover artwork, Randy Edelman thinks it is the wearing of yellow stiletto shoes whilst standing on a California license plate. We think differently and on the remix you find a babe who is up-town (or down-town, it's difficult to tell) and whose dancing is as up-tempo as it could ever need to be, when you are just wearing a see-through bikini. Cityscape!

Give Me The Night - Randy Crawford

randy crawford give me the night 2randy crawford give me the night 1A chilled out remix of the George Benson classic Give Me The Night is the subject of today's remix from Randy Crawford, which is a single from her album Naked And True. So on the artwork you would expect something maybe a little more naked and nightly than a smiling Ms Crawford, not matter how nice that might be. On the remix, therefore, we find a babe who is enjoying the night and is also naked, so this remix not only reflects the single, but it's parent album too. Inherited!

Sweetie - The Headquarters

the headquarters sweetie 2the headquarters sweetie 1We like The Headquarters take on what constitutes being a Sweetie. On their original cover artwork they have a sweet babe and have cleverly used the text on the cover to conceal her sweetest parts. The remix does little to improve upon this, it just modernizes the single with a more up-to-date sweetie whose sweet bits are covered by her hair, her hands and the text of the record. Could it be any more modern? Seventies!
