cheeky girls shoes off remixcheeky girls shoes off 1Two consecutive days of remixes of The Cheeky Girls' covers! Think yourself lucky that we are not having a whole week of them. This is the remix for Take Your Shoes Off. In the original cover we see the girls themselves standing by a jukebox. Why and what this has to do with the song is lost in the mists of time. The remix shows two different cheeky girls who are in fits of laughter at being told to take their shoes off because it's the only thing they're still wearing! Hilarious!

Cheeky Song (Touch My Bum) - The Cheeky Girls

cheeky girls touch my bum 2cheeky girls touch my bum 1Not the first remix of a song by The Cheeky Girls, nor will it be the last as we have another one tomorrow (don't ask why). The good thing about these crazy Romanian girls is that they provide the material for the remix of their own songs. In the original cover of Cheeky Song (Touch My Bum) we see the girls shying away from actually touching each other's bums. A photoshoot that they did for a top shelf magazine provides the ideal remix material. Obvious!

The Love I Lost - Harold Melvin And The Blue Notes

harold melvin love lost 2harold melvin love lost 1Another fanmade entry, this time from Jackson Penge of North Carolina. Jackson says that although the picture on the original cover of The Love I Lost by Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes shows the band singing, it isn't blue and it is not evident who the lost lover is. He says of his remix that the girl in the picture is the love that is lost and that contrary to what might be expected the problem is that she has been lost, and can not find her way home. How careless!

Shopping - Pet Shop Boys

pet shop boys shopping remixpet shop boys shopping 1Nice to get an entry submitted by one of our readers. We will let Tallie Hough of Sunderland, England take up the story:
Though this song by the Pet Shop Boys was never released as a single in its own right, I felt it was deserving of a remix of its own. So the original cover for Shopping is not actually the original cover, but one I made up. The remix is also made up as you can see and shows a naked girl going shopping. Sadly I could not find a picture of a naked babe shopping in a pet shop which would have been better.

Never mind Tallie, we like your thinking and approve of your remix. Monetary!

Happiness - Pizzaman

pizzaman happiness remixpizzaman happiness 1Happiness is what Pizzaman brings. Well there's no lie there. Most deliveries of pizza by a pizzaman will bring happiness, cheese covered, tomato sauce laden, thick crust happiness. The original cover artwork though shows none of this high-calorie happiness, but instead focuses on some abstract pixellated nonsense. Thankfully we at AllBum.Art have been able to rectify this situation and return the thick crust cheeriness with a pretty girl as well. Total happiness?

Blue Hat For A Blue Day - Nick Heyward

nick heyward blue hat day remixnick heyward blue hat day 1A Blue Hat For A Blue Day, is apparently what singer Nick Heyward recommends. How odd, then, that the original cover of Mr Heyward's single, though showing the singer himself, does not provide us with any purview of how blue the day is, what shade of blue the hat is, or who, indeed, is wearing the hat. Thankfully in the remix all of this is made clear though we find that no-one is actually wearing the hat, but is holding it in their hand. Cornflower!

andrew bennett run till u shine 2andrew bennett run till u shine 1Run Till U Shine. What does that mean exactly? Unfortunately, the original single cover of this track by Andrew Bennett Feat. Sir Adrian does not help at all. A cartoon angel, sitting on a cartoon cloud, wearing cartoon headphones and clicking his/her fingers to the music. Great. But where's the running and shining? Heaven only knows! The remix solves this completely as we a see a beautiful bikini-clad babe running along a beach in the sunshine. Beauty!

Strings Of Life (Stronger On My Own) - Soul Central Featuring Kathy Brown

soul central strings of life 2soul central strings of life 1The original single cover artwork for Strings Of Life (Stronger On My Own) by Soul Central Feat. Kathy Brown shows what exactly? The nose and lips of who? Maybe it's Kathy Brown but this is not clear. It is also not clear how the strings are to make things stronger. Thankfully, we at AllBum.Art have been able to illustrate how the strings were meant to work. As you can see, the otherwise naked babe has been tied up. The strings give support to her torso and make her stronger. On her own. Knotty!

Who Dat Girl - Flo Rida Featuring Akon

flo rida akon who dat girl remixflo rida akon who dat girl 1Yo, yo, yo! Flo Rida to the A to the K to the O to the N. OK, so we should steer away from the whole rap thing. But not remixing covers. The original cover of Who Dat Girl shows Flo Rida sitting on a chair but no sign of Akon. Odd that. Also, there's no indication of 'who dat girl' is. Thankfully that's easy to fix and in the remix we can see who 'dat' girl is. If you look carefully, you will see that the chair has also been replaced by a stool. Oh, and all her clothes have fallen off. Mysterical!

Leap Up And Down (Wave Your Knickers In The Air) - St. Cecelia

st cecelia leap up and down remixst cecelia leap up and down 1News arrives at the AllBum.Art headquarters from Alan Preston of Macclesfield, England of a revival of an old 1970s song. Leap Up And Down by St Cecelia was apparently banned from radio in England when it was first released but is having a new lease of life as a summer party song. We can see why as the title lends itself to many a happy summertime party. The original cover shows the band leaping around with some womens' knickers in their hands. The remix shows a babe of around the same era who is not leaping as much, but who is waving her knickers in the air. Thanks for the remix Alan. Float it brother!
