the cult rain 2the cult rain 1We like a good rain-based remix here at AllBum.Art as a sexy babe soaking wet is always a sight to behold. Today it is the turn of The Cult and their single Rain to hit the remix table. The original cover shows a cloud, which may, or may not, be a rain cloud. The remix shows a babe who has gotten so wet in the rain that she obviously thinks that removing her t-shirt which is soaking wet, is a good move. We agree. Concur!

sister sledge we are family remixsister sledge we are family 1Whilst we are in a family mood, here's another sibling related remix. We Are Family was a hit for Sister Sledge in the 70s and again in the 80s and 90s as a remix, so it is only fitting that the cover of their single (and album of the same name) receives the AllBum.Art treatment. On the original cover we see the sisters, sitting around looking less than familial. On the remix we find a mother and her daughter looking equally familial but much happier than the sisters appear. Then again letting the wind blow through your hair on a sunny day is always a winner. Smile!

Daughter - Pearl Jam

pearl jam daughter remixpearl jam daughter 1Just what were Pearl Jam on when they were thinking about what to put on the cover for their single Daughter? In fact what exactly is it that is on the cover? It looks like the inside of a cheese grater lit up in red light. Anyhow, thank goodness for AllBum.Art as we can help sort out the mess for them. On the remix we find a mother proudly sitting alongside her daughter. For some reason they are both nude: perhaps they are naturists. Nudist!

On My Knees - The 411 Featuring Ghostface Killah

411 on my knees remix411 on my knees 1411 is a band comprising four cute looking girls, so what is the '11' bit - perhaps this relates to bingo where legs are eleven, or maybe we made that bit up. Either way, the original cover artwork for their single On My Knees Featuring Ghostface Killah (who is so ghostly they don't even appear on the cover) is not bad. But the 11 are not on their knees. In the remix, we find just one, not 4 girls, but she is on her knees. Ghostface is still nowhere to be seen, but maybe that's the nature of such a spectre. Spooky!

Played-A-Live (The Bongo Song) - Safri Duo

safri duo played a live 2safri duo played a live 1The original single for Safri Duo's Played-A-Live (The Bongo Song) fails in so many ways, it's not even worth counting them. So instead let's just count the bongos on the remixed version and find that there are two of them. A duo of bongos, no less. And the played-a-live bit? Well the bongos are living flesh so that makes them a-live, and who wouldn't want to play with them? So you see, the remix succeeds in as many ways as the original single cover artwork fails. Mathematic!

First Of May - Bee Gees

bee gees first of may remixbee gees first of may 1What is the day? It's the first of May. Which can only mean one thing - it's time for a remix. And what better to remix than a song called the First Of May by none other than the Bee Gees. On the original cover we find the band looking like a sixties throwback in black and red. Now of course the first of May is labor day, so perhaps the red alludes to the vaguely communist aspects of the day. But we prefer the remix where a babe is outdoors on a sunny spring day which is more like the first of May that we would rather see, whatever color of the political spectrum. Comrade!

Big Love - Fleetwood Mac

fleetwood mac big love remixxfleetwood mac big love 1So Fleetwood Mac are singing about Big Love, or so we are led to believe from the title of their track. But on the original single cover artwork, all we find is some kind of jungle scene. Now the jungle might be big, and the band might love it, but that is not clear. On the remix we find a big big babe who is being loved by a skinny guy. That is definitely big love, as we don't think just anyone would tackle a babe like her unless there was some kind of connection between them. Amore!

First Of Tha Month - Bone Thugs N Harmony

bone thugs harmony 1st of tha month remixbone thugs harmony 1st of tha month 1Hooray, it's the first of the month, or the First Of Tha Month, as Bone Thugs N Harmony would have it. And what do we do on the first of tha month? Why, it's time to get down and party. Tha original cover doesn't show who is at the party, or what they're doing there but thankfully tha remix does. It seems that tha party is being attended by a gang of pensioners who seem intent on dancing tha can-can in tha nude. Do you want to join them? Maybe next month's party will be more appealing. Run!

Never Never - The Assembly

the assembly never never remixthe assembly never never 1Nothing screams 'never never' better than a half-finished letter A (or is is actually meant to be the Greek capital lambda Λ) in red with some of it in grey. At least that's what we are to believe if the original cover artwork for the single Never Never by The Assembly is to be believed. For us, never never should be represented by something that you would tend not to want to ever do and we have represented this by a woman who we think you would definitely want to steer clear of. Then again, there is no accounting for taste. Flavor!

Books - Belle And Sebastian

belle and sebastian books remixbelle and sebastian books 1Time for a rare album (as opposed to a single) remix from us here at AllBum.Art. The original cover of Books by Belle And Sebastian fails in so many ways that it really isn't of any value to count them. Instead, let's focus on the remix where we find a room full of books. Oh, and just to lighten the picture a little, there's a babe sat in the room reading a book. And she seems very smitten with the book, in several shades of grey. Dictionary!
