dean friedman lucky stars 2dean friedman lucky stars 1Dean Friedman (pronounced 'freed-man' and not 'fried-man' as it would otherwise appear) sings to us about Lucky Stars. But on the cover of his single he looks anything other than lucky, in fact he seems gaunt and dreary, which kind of reflects his music. Anyhow, we thought the cover could do with a spruce up and a remix and on it we see some very lucky stars. So lucky in fact that we could imagine many a man trading places with them for no financial recompense at all. Gratis!

sister sledge we are family remixsister sledge we are family 1Whilst we are in a family mood, here's another sibling related remix. We Are Family was a hit for Sister Sledge in the 70s and again in the 80s and 90s as a remix, so it is only fitting that the cover of their single (and album of the same name) receives the AllBum.Art treatment. On the original cover we see the sisters, sitting around looking less than familial. On the remix we find a mother and her daughter looking equally familial but much happier than the sisters appear. Then again letting the wind blow through your hair on a sunny day is always a winner. Smile!

First Of May - Bee Gees

bee gees first of may remixbee gees first of may 1What is the day? It's the first of May. Which can only mean one thing - it's time for a remix. And what better to remix than a song called the First Of May by none other than the Bee Gees. On the original cover we find the band looking like a sixties throwback in black and red. Now of course the first of May is labor day, so perhaps the red alludes to the vaguely communist aspects of the day. But we prefer the remix where a babe is outdoors on a sunny spring day which is more like the first of May that we would rather see, whatever color of the political spectrum. Comrade!

Nutbush City Limits - Ike And Tina Turner

ike tina turner nutbush city limits remixike tina turner nutbush city limits 1It can be a real pleasure when a picture and a song come together to make the perfect storm of a remix, and Nutbush City Limits by Ike And Tina Turner, is just such an example. The original cover shows Ms Turner resting on a car which, for some reason, has the registration 'Bolic'. She appears to be close to the Nutbush city limits, as evidenced by the sign on the road, but how fake is that? The remix shows a babe who is standing right next to the Nutbush city limits and that sign by the side of the road is definitely not a fake. River deep!

kraftwerk autobahn remixkraftwerk autobahn 1We have previously remixed the cover artwork for a Kraftwerk track here at AllBum.Art. But it is nice that we have been sent this user contributed submission of Autobahn from Wolfgang Schmeltz of Germany. He tells us:
This babe who is named Vienna, is standing on a bridge over main motorway from Mainz to Koblenz so it is really an autobahn remix.
We can see that, Wolfgang. Great work!

The Boys Are Back In Town - Thin Lizzy

thin lizzy the boys are back in town remixthin lizzy the boys are back in town 1Just occasionally, we feel it is right, that we at AllBum.Art do a remix designed for the fairer sex, or as we call it One For The Ladies. This time it is the turn of Thin Lizzy and their hit The Boys Are Back In Town. On the original cover we find the 'boys' (a.k.a. the band) digging that crazy guitar. On the remix we find a gang of boys that have just gotten back to town, but for some reason have forgotten all their clothes, except their sneakers. Sneaky!

When I Kissed The Teacher - ABBA

abba when i kissed the teacher remixabba when i kissed the teacher 1Yet another remix for those Swedish songsters ABBA - in fact we have done so many remixes of their cover artwork that we could have dedicated a whole week to them. On the original front cover of When I Kissed The Teacher we find the band members sitting at a dining table enjoying a class of wine with a meal. Where's the teacher? Is this an educational establishment? On the remix we find a situation where poor Jonny is about to kiss his teacher. Why? She is posing naked on her classroom desk. Easy to see how that could happen. Blackboard!

The Bitch - Olympic Runners

olympic runners the bitch remixolympic runners the bitch 1We can fully understand why the Olympic Runners chose to picture Joan Collins on the original front cover of their single The Bitch, it was because Ms Collins was the star of the movie of the same name for which this song was the theme tune. All very sensible. All we have done for the remix is modernize the picture, replacing Ms Collins with a younger babe whose clothing style (all latex and corsets) makes her out to be a twenty-first century bitch. Handy!

Too Big - Suzi Quatro

suzi quatro too big remixxsuzi quatro too big 1It seems that Suzi Quatro appears quite frequently in our infrequent list of triple-X rated remixes. The original cover artwork for her single Too Big shows Ms Quatro singing. Maybe she is very tall - this is not clear. On the remix we find a babe in magenta high heel boots that are clearly too big. Look closely and you will see that the heel of her foot is loose compared to the back of the boot. You saw that right? Or were you distracted by something else that appears to be too large for her? Diversion!

Hurt So Good - Susan Cadogan

A triple-play remix for Susan Cadogan and her single (and album of the same name) Hurt So Good. On the original cover we find Ms Cadogan looking glum. Is she hurt? It's difficult to say. Was the hurt good? Well given that we don't really know if she is hurt, that is a question too far. On the first remix, though, we find a babe who appears to be connected to a machine that is causing her some pain, but equally she seems to be enjoying it, so it's reasonable to state that it hurts so good. On the second remix we find a babe chained up and lying on a bed. Maybe this hurts, or is about to hurt, or has hurt in the past. Is it good? You would have to ask her. Pleasure-Pain-Principle!
