AllBum.Art - Alternative Art-Work for Album and Single Covers

As we continue our short series of remixes of cover artwork by Shakatak, we fall across Streetwalkin'. On the original single we find a neon drawing of a babe walkin' down a street, so a big thumbs-up to the artist for depicting the nature of the song on the cover. On the remix little has changed, except that instead of a drawing we find a real-life babe doing some streetwalkin' of her own, and she seems to have lost her skirt. Road!

The next in our short series of remixes of jazz funkers Shakatak. Today it is the turn of Dark Is The Night (do the band have some fixation with things that happen after dark?) On the original cover artwork for the song, we find a dark alleyway with what appears to be an entrance to a club with the band's name above it. On the remix, someone has turned up to attend the club but seems to be undressing in the street. Perhaps that's the dress code? Doorman!

Time for a short run of remixes for Shakatak, starting with their song Night Birds. On the original cover of the single (from the album of the same name) we find a couple of birds flying over an icy landscape at night though they appear to be pterodactyls. On the remix we find a couple of different birds flying over an equally chilly looking landscape, and again at night. No dinosaurs here though. Launch!

Another remix for Creedence Clearwater Revival, this time for their single Down On The Corner. On the original front cover artwork for the song, we find the band members peering out at us. On the remix we find a babe standing or leaning in the corner of a room. Whether she is down we can't tell, but she doesn't look that comfortable with nothing but a collar and some nipple clamps to keep her warm, so perhaps she is a little down after all. Chain!

We wonder what Wayne Wonder was wondering about when he put together the original front cover artwork for his single Bounce Along. If he had selected the image on the remix, we would have know where his head was, or at least where he would wish it to be as we find a busty babe who almost certainly bounces along when she walks, especially if she has forgotten to wear a bra. Wonderful!

You know that it's going to be a lovely day when Ray Charles sings to us about That Lucky Old Sun. On the original single front cover artwork we find Mr Charles doing the singing, but why is the sun so lucky? The remix helps answer this question as we find a smiling babe in a grass skirt and a captain's beret, but whose bikini top seems to have gone amiss, and who the sun has clearly taken a shine to. Wink!

Yo, yo, yo, here's a triple-play remix from Kool Moe Dee, hear me now? On the original single front cover artwork for How You Like Me Now, we find Mr Dewese (for that is his real name) holding the lapels of his cool 80's hip hop get up. On the first remix we find a babe who is asking the question 'do you like me now' having changed from whatever she was wearing into an ill-fitting swimsuit. On the second remix, a second babe is asking the same question but she has donned a see-through blouse. So how do you answer their questions? Easy now!

We kind of like the original single front cover artwork for Waves by Mr Probz, at least the one from the Robin Schulz remix, as it shows a message in a bottle (didn't some other band do that too). The remix just zooms out from these scene onto the beach where the bottle was found where a cute babe is celebrating. She looks happy enough though sitting on that cold stone can't be that comfortable on her ass. Scissors!

Dodgy (a dodgy name for a band if ever there wasn't one) are Staying Out For The Summer which, by the looks of the original single front cover artwork involves them being upside down in a VW camper van. On the first from this triple-play remix we find some babes who would make the summer worthwhile staying out for, leaning on nothing less than a camper van. On the second remix we find a babe who is, guess what, standing in front of a camper van only this time she seems to be squinting in the sun and trying to lift her sweater up to shield her eyes. At least we think that's what she's up to. Flash!

Another triple-play for you today, from none other than Richard Marx and his song Right Here Waiting. On the original single front cover artwork we find Mr Marx leaning against a wall, and to be fair to him, it does appear that he is waiting for something or other. On the first of the remixes, we find a babe in a similar stance, waiting to see who it is that is approaching her over her shoulder. On the second remix we find yet another babe but this time she is waiting by the harbor and whilst she has been patiently waiting it seems that her clothes have blown away in the breeze. Windy!
