josh macrae messing about on the river remixjosh macrae messing about on the river 1An entry from the semi-eponymous Josh Macintosh of Scotland. Messing About On The River apparently tells the tale of heady summer days spent down by the banks of a river. The original cover of the Josh Macrae single shows a tranquil scene of 'punting' (apparently) but Josh reckons that the reality of the situation is better reflected in his remixed cover which shows some summertime babes messing about by a river. Couldn't agree with you more there Josh (or Josh)!

martha vandellas dancing street remixmartha vandellas dancing street 1Dancing In The Street. What could have been more outrageous in the 1960s than the suggestion from Martha Reeves & The Vandellas, that dancing anywhere other than in a dance hall was acceptable. Of course today anything can happen in the street, including dancing - but dancing with no clothes on too - as is perfectly illustrated by the babe on the remix of the cover. Wiggle it!

marcels blue moon remixmarcels blue moon 1Blue Moon by The Marcels was a 1961 single for doo-woppers, The Marcels. It has been covered many times but no times as handsomely as in the remix of the single provided for you. On the original cover we see the band. How exciting. On the remix we see a group of sexy girl who have been entranced by the blueness of the moon and have exposed their wild selves as all creatures born of the night are wanton to do. Royal!

Oh, Pretty Woman - Roy Orbison

roy orbison pretty woman 2roy orbison pretty woman 1This song by Roy Orbison is less 'Oh, Pretty Woman' and more 'Ah, Pretty Woman' when the enlightenment of the remixed cover exposes the woman of whom Mr Orbison so idly moans. The original lyrics of this song included the line 'take a peek, on my cheek, that's a sneak, or a banzoi tree' but it was felt to be too Japanese at a time when sentiment towards the Japanese was no better than it is today towards Canada for example. Top!

Hole In My Shoe - Traffic

traffic hole in my shoe 2traffic hole in my shoe 1And all that I knew was a Hole In My Shoe, that was letting in water (repeat to fade). So now you know everything you ever needed to know about this 1960s song by Traffic. No? Let us help, because the original cover doesn't. The song is about a shoe, that someone is wearing. And there's a hole in it. And this is a problem because... the hole lets water in. Oh, darn it. Let the remix tell the story.

Israelites - Desmond Dekker

desmond dekker israelites 2desmond dekker israelites 1Ooooh, ooooh, me ears are alight. Ain't that what Desmond Dekker was really singing about in his 1969 classic Israelite? Either way, the original cover gives no answers to this conundrum. And rather than try and fathom the mysteries of the deep, the remix just enhances and modernizes the original. Gone is the bra wearing woman of the 1960s and come is the bra wearing woman of the 2010s. Darlin' cheese-head I was far too greasy. Word.

In The Midnight Hour - Wilson Pickett

wilson pickett midnight hour remixwilson pickett midnight hour 1A 1960s soul classic remix from Wilson Pickett. The original cover of In The Midnight Hour shows Mr Pickett singing into his microphone but no indication of where he is or how late in the day it it. The remix resolves this anomaly by using a wider view to show that Mr Pickett is standing in a street with a girl standing in front of him (to who is is singing). How do we know it is midnight? Because the girl is wearing nothing more than a see-through t-shirt and you don't wear those in broad daylight (not even broads do that!)

Moon River - Andy Williams

andy williams moon river remixandy williams moon river 1Following on the theme of songs with moon in the title, and thus an excuse to show 'buttocks exposed for fun', we bring you the classic Moon River as sung in 1961 by Andy Williams, oh yes. The original cover shows, well, shows Mr Williams much as you would expect. The remix is the ultimate in mooning buttocks in a river, and makes it completely clear why this particular river deserves it's lunar moniker.

Pinball Wizard - The Who

who pinball wizard remixwho pinball wizard 1"Ever since I was a young boy, I played the silver ball" is the opening line of this 1969 song from rock legends The Who. Now we are led to believe that this is because the person concerned is a Pinball Wizard, but the remix of the single cover artwork offers an alternative suggestion: that the balls being played with might have had other motives than the purely pin in nature. This pinup of a chick is bound to get many young boy's balls played with!

Loco-Motion - Little Eva

little eva locomotion remixlittle eva locomotion 1Everybody's doing a brand new dance now. Well it might have been brand new in the 1960s but today it's as common as a dime. The Loco-Motion is a dance originally brought to us by Little Eva and involves all kinds of twists and turns. The original cover shows Ms Boyd but tells us nothing of how the dance is done. On the remixed cover, two topless babes seem to have got carried away with the dance and one is looking rather shocked at the Loco-Motive antics of her friend.
