new vaudeville band peek a boo 2new vaudeville band peek a boo 1Going back in time to the 1960s for this remix of Peek-A-Boo by The New Vaudeville Band. The original cover sees the band members sitting in, or standing next to, a car that has come even further back in time (though not using any kind of flux capacitor). Now Peek-A-Boo is a game often played with babies where one hides and just reveals a small part of yourself to the glee of the child concerned. Our version has a babe who has just revealed a small part of herself, to the glee of the childish mentalities of the staff here. Game on!

(Must You Always) Tease Me - Keith Kelly

keith kelly must you always tease me 2keith kelly must you always tease me 1(Must You Always) Tease Me? That is the question posed by Keith Kelly. Now on the cover of Mr Kelly's single, we see a happy yet intrigued looking Mr Kelly and the question is, what or who is doing the teasing (always). The remix turns the camera around 180 degrees so that we can see what or who it is that is doing the teasing. Now it is clear why Mr Kelly is looking so intrigued and happy on the original cover artwork. Smile!

Happy Together - The Turtles

turtles happy together remixturtles happy together 1The Turtles are apparently Happy Together and although there are one or two smiling faces on the cover of their single, it is not at all clear that everyone in the picture is happy to be together. The remix shows two babes who seem very happy to be together. Perhaps it is the fact that they are both naked and therefore are happy to have the mutual support for whatever they are going to do next - such as to find out where their clothes have disappeared to. Joyous!

Snow Flake - Jim Reeves

jim reeves snow flake remixjim reeves snow flake 1Whilst we are on the subject of snow flakes, here is a remix of Snow Flake by seasonal swooner Jim Reeves. On the original cover artwork we find Mr Reeves looking anything but snowy, though perhaps if he hasn't used anti-dandruff shampoo he might be a bit flaky. The remix shows a babe dressed as a snow flake, though it appears that she may have forgotten certain important parts of her outfit. Then again, perhaps that is how nature intended it, you never really know when it comes to snow flakes. Geometric!

ohio express yummy remixohio express yummy 1Yummy, Yummy, Yummy, I've got love in my tummy. Do rhymes come any more farcical than that? Not if you're Ohio Express. How do they choose to illustrate this yumminess on the original single front cover artwork? The simple answer is that they don't. They just have the name of the band and the title of the song repeated three times in yellow, red and pink. On the remix are three beach babes, wearing yellow, red and pink bikinis. Oops, the babe in the red bikini has lost hers. Yummy!

tom jones whats new pussycat 2tom jones whats new pussycat 1Does the potential for remixing a song cover artwork come on any bigger plate than a song called What's New Pussycat. So thank you to Tom Jones for offering up this large dinner plate of a remix. On the original we see Mr Jones looking very, well, very ordinary. On the remix we see a babe dressed in a pussycat outfit. Now do you see what we mean about an easy remix. And you were thinking, pussy, cat, and something much more different weren't you now? Miaow!

nancy sinatra bang bang remixnancy sinatra bang bang 1Friday already, how the week just flies by. And here we are with another remix from this week's special guest, Nancy Sinatra, none other than Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down). On the original cover of the song, we find Ms Sinatra sitting down on the floor. Could it be that she has already been shot down, or is it more bang bang? Either way, the remix shows a more likely bang bang situation, and if they are not careful their baby will shoot them down. Table!

nancy sinatra the highway song remixnancy sinatra the highway song 1Yet another remix in our week long Nancy Sinatra special. The original cover of The Highway Song shows Ms Sinatra looking very demure and even a little sophisticated, lying down in soft focus. But where is the highway? The remix shows what is going on on the highway in question, which is to say very little, other than there being some nearly naked babe wearing just high heel boots and a jacket. Top!

The Boxer - Simon And Garfunkel

simon garfunkel the boxer remixsimon garfunkel the boxer 1Such a simple remix this one. The original cover of The Boxer by Simon And Garfunkel shows the two singers, the title of the song, and the singers' names, and that's it. No sign of a boxer, which is odd, given that the title of the song is The Boxer. This is very easily remedied, and in the remix we have just added a picture of a boxer. A foxy boxer as girls who wear boxing gloves, high heel boots, and not much else are normally called. Pow!

Calendar Girl - Neil Sedaka

neil sedaka calendar girl remixneil sedaka calendar girl 1What would you imagine, if we asked you to picture a calendar girl? Would it be the unsmiling face of Neil Sedaka, or would it be a 60s style pinup girl? Well Mr Sedaka clearly thinks his unsmiling face, with his jacked slung over his shoulder, is the right answer. We, on the other hand, would prefer to see a 60s style pinup girl. Good job that's what we used to remix the single then. Pop!
