ultravox we came to dance 2ultravox we came to dance 1Ultravox inform us that We Came To Dance, but is that something you would have understood had you looked at the original single front cover artwork? Or would you think that the song is about mountains? On the remix we find two babes who have got their ballet gear on and are limbering up and as far as we can tell, they have come to dance. Somewhat oddly, their ballet gear does not seem to include a skirt, or any panties, but perhaps that is the norm when rehearsing. Bottom!

Angelia - Richard Marx

richard marx angelia 2richard marx angelia 1Another remix for Richard Marx, this time for his song Angelia. On the original single cover artwork we see that Mr Marx is standing holding his guitar. This begs the obvious question of who Angelia is, unless, of course, it is in fact the name of his guitar. On the remix we find an angel of a babe, who could well be called Angelia as she stands looking over her shoulder at us over her feathery wings. Ascend!

Another triple-play for you today, from none other than Richard Marx and his song Right Here Waiting. On the original single front cover artwork we find Mr Marx leaning against a wall, and to be fair to him, it does appear that he is waiting for something or other. On the first of the remixes, we find a babe in a similar stance, waiting to see who it is that is approaching her over her shoulder. On the second remix we find yet another babe but this time she is waiting by the harbor and whilst she has been patiently waiting it seems that her clothes have blown away in the breeze. Windy!

Just Can't Get Enough - Depeche Mode

depeche mode just cant get enough 2depeche mode just cant get enough 1Whilst we are on the subject of Depeche Mode, here's yet another remix, this time for the front cover of their single Just Can't Get Enough. On the original artwork we find some kind of mummy, or failing that, a man badly wrapped in bandages at what must have been some kind of highly rudimentary medical facility as they tied him up with rope too. On the remix we find literally lots of babes. Now it could be argued that even this many is not enough, but who's to say that there aren't literally lots more just off the edge of the page. Hidden!

Dreaming Of Me - Depeche Mode

depeche mode dreaming of me 2depeche mode dreaming of me 1Back in March 2016, we had a whole week of Depeche Mode remixes, but that doesn't stop us dropping a few new ones in the mix from time to time. Today it is the original single front cover artwork for Dreaming Of Me that hits the news-stands. On the original cover we find a babe with a long pony-tail in some kind of house of mirrors. Maybe it is a dream. On the remix we find a babe who we are certain, if she asked the question 'are you dreaming of me?', there would be many folk who would wish to immediately fall into a sleepy state and allow their thoughts to be taken into her realm. Slumber!

Doctorin' The House - Coldcut

coldcut doctorin the house 2coldcut doctorin the house 1We are Doctorin' The House with Coldcut (Featuring Yazz & The Plastic Population). The original single front cover artwork is a handy blur of orange and aqua blobs that really does not in any way convey any kind of medical message that might be associated with the song. On the remix we find a doctor, in the house, so to speak. We know she is a doctor as she has a stethoscope around her neck. What more proof do you need, people? Certificate!

We wonder whether today's remix artist Gwen McCrae is in any way related to yesterday's remix artist George, but we are too lazy to put their names into a search engine to find out. Anyway, today's triple-play remix of Keep The Fire Burning shows that the original single front cover artwork presents us with a picture of Ms McCrae smiling - perhaps she is nice and toasty in front of a fire but this is not apparent. On the first remix we find a babe who is so toasty in front of a fire that she has stripped down to her pink negligee. On the second remix we find a babe that must be even warmer, and whose job, it seems, is to keep that fire burning. Sizzle!

Get Out Of Your Lazy Bed - Matt Bianco

matt bianco get out of your lazy bed 2matt bianco get out of your lazy bed 1When a band such as Matt Bianco sings a song entitled Get Out Of Your Lazy Bed, we expect a little more from the original single cover artwork than a moody picture of the band members. What we do expect is a bed, with someone in it, who is clearly lazy and doesn't want to get out (or is is the bed that is lazy?) So it is probably good news that all of these aspects appear to be present in the remixed artwork. Snooze!

What's Another Year - Johnny Logan

johnny logan whats another year 2johnny logan whats another year 1What's Another Year? That is what Johnny Logan asks us. How timely is his question as we enter a new year? How odd, then, that on the original single cover artwork we find Mr Logan looking less than happy. For the remix we've gone all HG Wells and we find a babe sitting on a time machine. To her another year is no big deal, just flip the switch and off you go. If only life was that simple. Then again, if you had a time machine, maybe it would be. Temporal!

Hazy Shade Of Winter - The Bangles

bangles hazy shade of winter 2bangles hazy shade of winter 1Today's question is what is a Hazy Shade Of Winter? According to The Bangles, it might be black, as that is the color that all of the band members are wearing on the original single cover artwork. On the remix we find a babe standing outside in the snow, so it's almost certainly winter. She is wearing a rather hazy white bodysuit and so we can but presume that white, being the color of snow and of the catsuit, is the hazy shade that the group were referring to. Blanco!
