george mccrae rock your baby 2george mccrae rock your baby 1On the original single front cover artwork for Rock Your Baby, we find George McCrae lounging around against a wooden fence. It seems he is not rocking, though it is a still photo, but there is definitely no baby, babe or other diminutive person around. On the remix we find a babe, or baby, who is lounging around against a rock. The only missing part is whether she is your baby or someone else's baby who is rocking. Pebble!

Christmas Day - Barrington Levy

barrington levy christmas day remixbarrington levy christmas day 1Barrington Levy brings us this year's Christmas Day song, with his song of exactly that name. What could be more apt? On the original cover we find what Mr Levy refers to as a shine eye gal. On the remix we find a similar gal, but who is sitting in front of the tree on Christmas Day with her presents. Then again, maybe it is her who is the present that is in front of the tree. Selection!

Broken Down Angel - Nazareth

nazareth broken down angel remixnazareth broken down angel 1Back to the wintery remixes as we consider Broken Down Angel by Nazareth. Not only does the name of the band have biblical connotations, but the title does too, because it mentions angels which is one of our favorite topics. On the original single cover artwork we find nothing more than the band members. On the remix we find a babe whose car appears to have broken down. We know this as she is attempting a push start. If we may offer her some advice, it may have been more sensible to do this wearing clothes and more sensible shoes than high heels (especially in the snow). Just sayin' is all.

t rex metal guru 2t rex metal guru 1Another remix for 70s glam rockers T-Rex and their single Metal Guru. On the original cover artwork we find a fuzzy haired Mr Bolan, the title of the song and of course the name of the artist. No metal. On the remix we find a babe dressed all in silver, and done in a relatively stylish way, so when it comes to fashion, she would certainly qualify in the metal guru category. Aluminum!

Breaking The Law - Judas Priest

judas priest breaking the law 2judas priest breaking the law 1Judas Priest have been very naughty, they have been Breaking The Law. Oddly, on the original single cover artwork there is no evidence of their law breaking, other, perhaps, than their awful red leather pants which are criminal. On the remix there is also no law breaking going on, but the babe enforcing the law is criminally sexy in her black leather boots and short police outfit. Illegal!

Walking In Rhythm - The Blackbyrds

the blackbyrds walking in rhythm remixthe blackbyrds walking in rhythm 1The Blackbyrds are apparently Walking In Rhythm. We say apparently because on the original single cover artwork the band are not actually walking, but are loafing around in some kind of rundown neighborhood. On the remix we find four babes who are walking, but if you look closely, it seems they may not be walking in rhythm. Why? Because some are standing on their left foot, and some on the right foot. You did notice that, right? Or were you put off by something they were or were not wearing? Monochrome!

Falling Apart At The Seams - Marmalade

marmalade falling apart at the seams remixmarmalade falling apart at the seams 1Poor Marmalade, it seems they are Falling Apart At The Seams. At least that is what their single is titled, but on the original front cover artwork the clothes the band are wearing do not seem to be damaged in any way. On the remix we find a babe whose clothes have already nearly been torn in two. Whoever did the stitching on the seams of her outfit seems to have done a bad job of it, depending on your outlook. She is seemingly happy about her situation though. Sewing!

Me And You And A Dog Named Boo - Lobo

lobo me and you and a dog named boo remixlobo me and you and a dog named boo 1Now think about this... Me (OK, got that) And You (with you so far) And A Dog Named Boo (and your point)? Well the first point is that on the original cover artwork for Me And You And A Dog Named Boo there is no me, and no you. Also isn't it a bit of a coincidence that the dog's name rhymes with you. It wouldn't have worked so well if the dog was named Rover for example. On the remix we find a babe out walking her dog and to be real, who cares what the dog is called. Canine!

Don't Do It Baby - Mac & Katie Kissoon

mac katie kissoon dont do it baby 2mac katie kissoon dont do it baby 1Mac & Katie Kissoon sing us a song titled Don't Do It Baby. That's OK, we like a good song. But the original single front cover artwork does not give us any indication whatsoever as to what it is that the baby shouldn't do. The remix helps with this as we find a babe trying to climb a wire fence that seems to be stopping her from being run over by cars on the freeway. That's clearly not a sensible thing to be doing and so we echo the Kissoons cry of don't do it baby. Halt!

Show Me You're A Woman - Mud

mud show me youre a woman remixmud show me youre a woman 1The title of this song by Mud is Show Me You're A Woman, but on the original single front cover artwork there is neither any evidence of this question being asked, nor of anyone trying to answer it as all we find are the band members looking a bit glum (except the guy on the left who seems far more cheerful). Perhaps his cheerfulness is brought about by the remix where we find a babe who has responded to the question and done her best to convince us that she is a woman. We would tend to believe her. Revealing!
