radiohead the bends 2radiohead the bends 1Another remix for Radiohead, anyone would have thought that we had planned that! Today it is the turn of their 1995 album The Bends. The original cover artwork for the album is another of their epic fails. Its only saving grace is that it might have been bendy if you took the album out of the sleeve and just played with the sleeve. The remix is simple. A babe who has the bends. So much so that she is heels over head. Chair!

Blue Yule - Various Artists

blue yule 2blue yule 1Blue Yule is a compilation album containing, it says, "Christmas Blues and R&B Classics". Which makes it odd that the album cover is in red and green. Where are these aforementioned blues? The answer is on the remix where we find a babe in the snow and in the process she has turned the artwork blue, not in the 'xxx' sense, but in an 'rgb' sense. Actually, it's more a combination of cyan and blue, but we won't argue the fine points. Cornflower!

This Is Hardcore - Pulp

pulp this is hardcore 1pulp this is hardcore rem1xxpulp this is hardcore rem2xx
With a title like This Is Hardcore, this album by Pulp was always destined to be 'Remi-XXX-ed' instead of just a regular remix, and just to make matters even more merry, there are two remixes for your enjoyment. The original cover hints at hardcore through the use of a topless babe positioned in a pouting pose. The two remixes follow a very similar theme, that theme being, largely, a babe who is being entertained by the back door, which is about as hardcore as we dare get. Anal!

Power Of A Woman - Eternal

eternal power of a woman 2eternal power of a woman 1Eternal sing sweetly for us about the Power Of A Woman as the sit sweetly in sepia-toned silence. Now this may be a powerful picture to some people, but we prefer our power more obvious and so on the remix we have replaced the girl band with a woman whose power is so strong, she is connected up to the electricity grid. Whether she is consuming or supplying the power is, somehow, irrelevant and so the only question remains as to how many Volts she could generate. High Energy!

black crowes amorica 1black crowes amorica 2black crowes amorica remix
What screams 'Fourth of July' better than Amorica by the Black Crowes. Or more specifically, the nice star spangled banner that adorns the front of the cover of the album. Or even more specifically, the promise of sexy celebrations that lies beneath the flag. Our first remix makes the flag just a little bit smaller, and the promise that much more obvious. On the second remix, the flag-pole seems to have broken somewhere and the promise is there for all to see. Long live Amorica!

White Ladder - David Gray

david gray white ladder remixdavid gray white ladder 1Is that a White Ladder showing on the original album cover artwork by David Gray? It looks more like a pink line sloping at an angle that a ladder would not normally make without falling over. It probably is a pink line after all, not a white ladder. So thankfully the remix is more clear on this point as we find that it contains a white ladder. Some babe has decided to climb the ladder wearing high heels and appears to have slipped and ended up in a painful position. She also appears to have ripped her clothes in the process. Popped!

paul weller wild wood remixpaul weller wild wood 1Wild Wood is both an album and a single for Paul Weller. Here we focus on the remix of the artwork for his 1999 album. On the original cover we find the silhouette of Mr Weller against a backdrop of some greenery which could, potentially be a wild wood, but it's not definite. On the remix we find a babe who, it seems, has taken on the job of stopping a whole load of logs that were felled from a wild wood, from rolling away. She has to keep her foot on the logs to keep the steady. Sadly, she has been at this so long that the acid rain from the nearby forest has eroded her clothes. Dissolve!

babybird ugly beautiful 2babybird ugly beautiful 1Another Babybird remix by Phil Darnall of England, today it is the turn of their album Ugly Beautiful. According to Phil, the original single cover artwork shows something that is neither ugly nor beautiful but is just downright repugnant, being what appears to be the foot of someone in a morgue. On the remix Phil provides us with two babes, one ugly, one beautiful, both in a very similar pose, and asks us to choose which is which. We know which one we would go for. Selection!

rod stewart a spanner in the works remixrod stewart a spanner in the works 1Another remix for Rod Stewart, this time it is the original album cover artwork for A Spanner In The Works, that has been given a make-over. On the original cover we find Mr Stewart sitting on a chair. Where's the spanner, you ask? It's on the remix we reply, where we find a babe standing in the chilly outdoors licking a spanner next to some workers. We are sure they don't mind loaning their spanner to her, as they seem quite taken with her licking skills. Pipes!

aerosmith big ones remixaerosmith big ones 1Ermm... Is it just us, or does the fact that Aerosmith have an album called Big Ones, mean that a remix is so inevitable, to not do it would be worse than letting your ice cream melt on a sunny day without even licking it? Let's put this plainly... On the original album cover artwork we find nothing, other than the name of the band and the title of the album. On the remix we find a babe, with big ones. Easy!
