Tennis Court - Lorde

Cover Artwork Remix of Lorde Tennis Court Original Cover Artwork of Lorde Tennis Court The original cover of Tennis Court by Lorde scores very highly on the AllBum.Art table as it features both the artist, and the title of the song as we see Lorde standing on a tennis court - full marks! A remix is therefore unnecessary but at the same time entertaining as in the remix we see a babe who has been playing the age old game of 'strip tennis' where you have to take of an item of clothing each time you lose a set. It looks like she lost lots of sets. Love!

Khe Sanh - Cold Chisel

Cover Artwork Remix of Cold Chisel Khe Sanh Original Cover Artwork of Cold Chisel Khe Sanh Mike Toohey wrote to us from Sydney, Australia with a suggestion for a remix. Mike tells us that Khe Sanh by Cold Chisel is about, 'rooting asian babes' and contains the line 'their legs were often open but their minds were always closed'. Mike challenged us to find a way to remix the original cover of the single which already alludes to the somewhat prostitutional nature of the situation in Vietnam in those days. In the remix we see an asian babe in an army uniform. Whether her mind is closed is not know but the other part of the lyric is true. That OK for you Mike? Undergrowth!

Fake - Alexander O'Neal

Cover Artwork Remix of Alexander O Neal Fake Original Cover Artwork of Alexander O Neal Fake Another obvious title for a remix of a song, this time Fake by Alexander O'Neal. The original cover shows Mr O'Neal but is it a fake picture of him, it looks quite realistic? The obviousness of the remix is obvious in itself. Instead of Mr O'Neal, we see a babe in a similar pose to Mr O'Neal but who is, at least partially, a fake. Which part of her is fake? You don't have to look very closely to work that out. Pointy!

Tongue - R.E.M.

Cover Artwork Remix of Rem Tongue Original Cover Artwork of Rem Tongue As we often say, here at AllBum.Art, sometimes a remix for the cover of a record is inspired by the record title, and sometimes by a picture. This remix was inspired by a picture. The original cover of Tongue by R.E.M. shows some blurry photo of what might be a girl. No sign of a tongue of any kind. The remix shows a babe sticking her tongue out at us, though in the process of doing this, she seems to have forgotten to get dressed. Shame!

Sharing The Night Together - Dr Hook

Cover Artwork Remix of Dr Hook Sharing The Night Together Original Cover Artwork of Dr Hook Sharing The Night Together A week's worth of icy songs is quite enough, so let's get back to the more regular remixes. It's always nice to receive email and better still with suggestions for remixes. We received a suggestion from Scott of Orlando, FL to remix Spending The Night Together by Dr Hook. The original cover shows the band smiling. It might be night as it is dark, but it might not be. In the remix it is definitely night time and there are two girls. One is leading the other by the hand no doubt taking her somewhere they can spend the cold, dark night together. More suggestions are always welcome, as they (apparently) say in Germany, 'if you don't ask, the beer won't cook'!

Ice Hockey Hair - Super Furry Animals

Cover Artwork Remix of Super Furry Animals Ice Hockey Hair Original Cover Artwork of Super Furry Animals Ice Hockey Hair There is so much scope for invention when the name of a band is Super Furry Animals and the title of the song is Ice Hockey Hair. What there isn't scope for is having a single cover that shows a drawing of what must be some kind of hockey jockey wearing badly drawn goggles and a microphone. That's just lamentably bad. Which is why in the remix we have shown a hockey babe who is keen to show off her ice hockey hair. Why she is doing it wearing red lingerie is another question. Query!

Sugar Coated Iceberg - The Lightning Seeds

Cover Artwork Remix of Lightning Seeds Sugar Coated Iceberg Original Cover Artwork of Lightning Seeds Sugar Coated Iceberg When you think about it, to sugar-coat an iceberg would require an awful lot of sugar. But that is what The Lightning Seeds sing about in their song Sugar Coated Iceberg. The cover of their single looks more like a load of failed origami models and whilst there is a passing resemblance to an iceberg or two, there is no indication of why they might be sweet. In the remix, poetic license is used to show (a) icicles instead of icebergs and (b) a sweet babe instead of sugar coating. But that's OK with you right? Sure!

Frozen - Susana And Josh Gabriel

Cover Artwork Remix of Susana Josh Gabriel Frozen Original Cover Artwork of Susana Josh Gabriel Frozen Some dance acts are notoriously lax when it comes to thinking about the design for the covers of their songs. Frozen by Susana And Josh Gabriel is no exception. The original cover shows us nothing at all. Not only are the artists themselves not visible, but other than the very tenuous connection between the color blue and cold things, there is nothing to indicate frozenness either. The remix has a babe standing looking at a frozen vista and although in one way she could be said to be hot, it is more likely that she is close to frozen too. Thaw!

So Cold The Night - The Communards

Cover Artwork Remix of Communards So Cold The Night Original Cover Artwork of Communards So Cold The Night Can you sense the cold, wintery theme that is pervading AllBum.Art this January? Well you should! We continue this theme with a remix of So Cold The Night by The Communards. The original cover of the single shows what can only be assumed to be a cold night sky, though given the pink tinge to the clouds it is more a cold sunrise/sunset sky. The remix shows just how cold the night is. Not only is there snow falling, but it is so cold that body warmth must be conserved by staying close. Especially if you have no clothes on. Fahrenheit!

Freeze-Frame - J Geils Band

Cover Artwork Remix of J Geils Band Freeze Frame Original Cover Artwork of J Geils Band Freeze Frame Continuing the chilly January theme, we bring you Freeze-Frame by the J Geils Band. It must have been very cold when the band's artist assembled the original cover artwork for their single as it is apparent that whoever designed it must have had a frozen brain to come up with such a weird representation. The remix, however, is far more accurate in its depiction of a freeze frame. A babe in the freezing cold, being framed for a photo. Melting!
