Joe Le Taxi - Vanessa Paradis

vanessa paradis joe le taxi remixvanessa paradis joe le taxi 1We might be wrong, but we think that this is the first remix here at AllBum.Art of the cover of a single that is not in English. Joe Le Taxi is by French singer and model Vanessa Paradis. Apparently it means 'Joe the cab driver' which is presumably why, on the original cover, Ms Paradis is looking out of the window of a car. On the remix, this confusing view is replaced by a girl who we understand to be called Jo, and who is clearly a cab driver given her uniform, or what remains of it. Taxi!

Flashback - Imagination

imagination flashback remiximagination flashback 1Use your Imagination and what would you come up with to remix the cover artwork of a song called Flashback? We used our imagination and came up with the idea of a babe, flashing her back at us. Such a simple idea, but the trick is to carry if off with finesse, and so we were particularly pleased with the end result. Why not use your imagination and come up with some ideas for remixes? Believe!

Hotel California - Eagles

eagles hotel california remixeagles hotel california 1A week of remixes of superband Eagles would not be complete without a remix of their all time classic, Hotel California. Let's ignore the original cover which has an eagle, but little else to distinguish it, and instead focus on the remix. What would a hotel in California look like? Well, for one the sun would be shining. For another, it would have a red carpet leading to the building. And for another it would have some hot babe standing with her luggage waiting for the bell boy. Lucky bell boy!

Desperado - Eagles

eagles desperado remixeagles desperado 1OK. We give the Eagles almost full marks for the original cover of their album Desperado. Why? Well firstly it contains a picture of the band. And secondly, the band are dressed and are posing like a set of wild-west desperados. So the cover artwork reflects the band and the title, giving it an AllBum.Art thumbs-up. The remix, then, should score lower because gone are the band, and instead is just a single desperado. At least we hope she is single, and desperate, because that points to a whole lot of gun-slingin' promise. Bang!

Life In The Fast Lane - Eagles

eagles life in the fast lane remixeagles life in the fast lane 1Life In The Fast Lane... hot babes, fast cars, dangerous driving? No. Apparently not. According to this week's featured band Eagles, it's about sitting around looking somewhat bored with life. How dreary. The remix however, has hot babes and fast cars. How's about the dangerous driving? With that babe in your car, we fail to see how you could drive safely. Distracted!

Take It To The Limit- Eagles

eagles take it to the limit remixeagles take it to the limit 1The fourth in this week's remixes of Eagles remixes. And would you know it, the band have almost completely and utterly replicated the cover of Lyin' Eyes to a tee, with a picture of the band, and the same font and layout, albeit in a different color scheme. And so we have replicated the concept for the remix and replaced the band with a babe who is taking it to the limit, to the limit of what is comfortable, and the limit of painfulness. Ouch!

The Long Run - Eagles

eagles the long run remixeagles the long run 1How totally uninventive of the Eagles for the cover of their album The Long Run. It features what... nothing, that is what. Not the band. No-one running. Nothing long. Thank goodness for the remixed cover which shows some babes running. How do we know it is a long run and not a short one? Easy. They are all almost naked and are clearly running to hide their modesties. That kind of run is never a short one, as if you hid your clothes nearby you wouldn't need to sprint. Jog!

Lyin' Eyes - Eagles

eagles lyin eyes remixeagles lyin eyes 1The second in our week-long set of remixes of cover artwork by the Eagles. Today it is that classic song Lyin' Eyes. Now it's OK that a band put a picture of themselves on the cover of their singles, indeed that is commended. But it would help if they did something also related to the song. In order to fix that, we have replaced the band with a babe whose eyes are saying something. Are they lyin' or tellin' the truth? It's difficult to tell and that, in itself, is a lie. Or is it? Truth!

Hell Freezes Over - Eagles

eagles hell freezes over 2eagles hell freezes over 1A new week, and the start of a week-long series of remixes of cover artwork by classic rock legends, Eagles. For no particular reason, we begin with their 1994 album, Hell Freezes Over. The original cover shows a few flames flickering around the title of the album. Hardly hellish. The remix shows the source of the fire - one of Beelzebub's own messengers has come to stoke the fires of hell. But will it freeze over? In winter maybe. Brrr...

Take Me To Church - Hozier

hozier take me to church 2hozier take me to church 1It is Sunday. Amen. So where should we go? Well according to Hozier we should Take Me To Church. What is the attraction with church (other than, of course, eternal salvation from our naughty sins)? It seems to be a weird parrot-human-newspaper-pipework hybrid. No, that won't do. The remix, however, does provide a good solid reason to go to church (other than the aforementioned salvation) and that is that there appears to be a lingerie clad babe waiting to see us. Pray!
