A soft, fuzzy, warm feeling. That's what you get when you listen to Winterlove by Parachute. The original cover of their single adds to the fuzzy feeling for sure, as it shows a city scene through a steamed up window. On the remix we see softness and warmth as two babes give each other a hug to conserve their heat. Are they hot? Probably not as they seem to have gone out in the cold in just their hat, gloves and scarf. Well done for that, but next time perhaps a coat and some clothes might help add to the warmth? Overcoat!

You might wonder what a remix of the punky song That Woman's Got Me Drinking by Shane MacGowan is doing sandwiched between various seasonal songs. Well the answer is a simple one, as lead singer of the Pogues, Mr MacGowan is the voice behind that holiday hit Fairytale Of New York. And whilst we don't have a remix of that single, we do have one for this single. We're not sure why the woman on the remix has got Mr MacGowan drinking so, but we're led to believe that he doesn't need much tempting (obviously) and after all, she is holding a cup to drink from. Storytime!

What do a white horse (with no tail), white rubber boots and a silver PVC jacket have in common? They are, apparently, what in the wonderful world of Tori Amos represent Winter, or at least that is what we are led to believe if we take the cover of her single at face value. For us, winter is far more about hot chicks hanging about in snowy forests wearing nothing more than gloves and boots to keep them warm. Which is what the remixed cover of this single shows. How's about that then? Drop!

It gets very chilly in December (or at least it does here at AllBum.Art HQ). And so we find ourselves remixing a double-dose of chilliness, with a band called Coldplay and a song called Shiver. The original cover shows some trees, with, for no real reason, various bits colored in. The remix shows a babe who, if she isn't shivering yet, will be soon, given that she is in the middle of a snow-covered forest, is wearing very little, and has just been sprayed with snow. Rattle!

Whilst we are on the subject of snow flakes, here is a remix of Snow Flake by seasonal swooner Jim Reeves. On the original cover artwork we find Mr Reeves looking anything but snowy, though perhaps if he hasn't used anti-dandruff shampoo he might be a bit flaky. The remix shows a babe dressed as a snow flake, though it appears that she may have forgotten certain important parts of her outfit. Then again, perhaps that is how nature intended it, you never really know when it comes to snow flakes. Geometric!

You always know you are onto a winner with the original artwork for a song comes with a sticker that says 'Rudolf Recommends'! And so it is with Suzy Snowflake by Rosemary Clooney. The original cover suggests that Ms Snowflake is perhaps a star-shaped snowflake with a woman's head. The remix suggests otherwise, and instead proposes that Suzy is a regular girl who just enjoys protecting her modesty with a snowflake. Who is right? Maybe we shall never know, or even care? Tally!

How would you prepare if you decided that you, or I Wanna Go Surfin' With Santa? The Hollyberries take a unique approach to their preparation, by going surfing at what must be around midnight, because as they hit the swell, Santa is pulling his sleight right over their head. That's not really surfin' with Santa, as surfin' under Santa. In the remix we see a babe whose far more likely to get in the snow with Santa, assuming that Santa likes snowboarding, and with naked babes too. Razz!

We can see why Lloyd would sing She's All I Want For Christmas judging by the cover artwork for his single. After all, the babe on the cover has a nice smile and a nice choice in clothing (or lack thereof). We occasionally get charged, here at AllBum.Art with the accusation that the material for our remixes focuses too heavily on the use of young, attractive babes and ignores the more mature variety. The remix of this song attempts to respond to some of those accusations by showing another babe that might be all that's needed for Christmas, being, as she is, an older babe wearing naught but stockings and heels. A Christmas stocking-filler, so to say. Red-breast!

It is a little known fact, but in the Netherlands, Christmas begins on December 5th, as Santa rides through the streets with his politically incorrect slave helper Black Pete, handing out sweets to the kids. The upshot of this is that the time is now right to start a few re-mix-mas-es and we begin with Funky Christmas by James Brown. The original cover shows Mr Brown in an Xmas hat. The remixmas shows a pretty ebony babe enjoying a funky Xmas of her own, sitting in front of a warm fire, by the Xmas tree and little else to spoil the view. Kerstmis (as the Dutch say)!

Oh dear, what a missed opportunity. The Red Hot Chili Peppers should have known better when they produced the cover for their 2006 album Snow (Hey Oh). So many opportunities for pictures of snow scenes or similarly chilly vistas. Thank goodness then for AllBum.Art for correcting this anomaly and replacing their ersatz cover artwork for something that is snowy, but remains red hot. Pepper!
