jessie j price tag remixjessie j price tag 1It's amazing what money can buy. Here we were thinking that the Price Tag referred to by Jessie J Featuring B.o.B. in their 2011 single was to do with ordinary household items like washing machines and stoves, but it turns out, if the remix of the cover of the single is to be believed, that price tag refers instead to the going rate for flashing your tits whilst drinking wine in a public place. I wonder what the price tag to do the same back at AllBum.Art HQ would be? Priceless!

Stop! In The Name Of Love - The Supremes

the supremes stop in the name of love remixthe supremes stop in the name of love 1Stop! In The Name Of Love... That is what we were instructed to do by The Supremes. But would you believe it, the boy in the remixed cover has never heard the song. He is playing away from home and is in the process of getting drunk and undressing a much older lady. Back home, his sexy young girlfriend is getting bored. What he needs to do is Stop! In The Name Of Love, get the mature woman dressed and go back home. Then again, who are we to judge? Stop!

Sweet Soul Music - Arthur Conley

arthur conley sweet soul music remixarthur conley sweet soul music 1Tho' we're certain that such things do not happen to everyone, here at AllBum.Art we sometimes find a picture that is both worthy of inclusion in a remix, yet fits no obvious song title. The picture used on the remix of Arthur Conley's soul classic Sweet Soul Music fits this bill precisely. On the original we see a sweet soul maiden stretching out over a 'chaise long' as we believe they are called. In the remix... an almost identical chaise (even down to the color) but the babe is different and many of her clothes have fallen off. Tho' it bares no connection to sweet soul music in any way, it is 100% deservant of being a barefaced remix. Bear!

Piano In The Dark - Brenda Russell

brenda russell piano in the dark remixbrenda russell piano in the dark 1Piano In The Dark, by Brenda Russell. Where do we begin? Let's start with the aforementioned piano - there isn't one. And what about the general lighting on the water-color styled picture on the front of the original single cover - it's certainly not dark. Thank goodness that we here at AllBum.Art are here to remix such dreadfully inaccurate covers. The remix has a piano. In the dark. Oh, and there appears to be a naked woman with shapely legs standing in front of it. P'Dark!

rem nightswimming remixrem nightswimming 1There is so little to say about Nightswimming by R.E.M. that instead of describe the flaws of the original cover and the oh, so, obvious replacement that is on the remix, we are just going to hum along with the song whilst it plays in the background. Mmmmm mmmm mmmmmm mm mm mmmmm mmm mmmmm mmm mmmm mmmmmm mmm mm mmmmm mmmm mmm mm mmmm mmmm m mmmmm m m mmmm la-la mmmmmm mmm m m mm mmmm. Tuneful!

Party For Two - Shania Twain With Mark McGrath

shania twain party for two remixshania twain party for two 1Party For Two was a 2004 hit for Shania Twain With Marc McGrath. But what a sorry story the cover of the single tells. It's just a picture of Ms Twain. No Party. And no Two. The remix tells a different story as there is definitely a party going on, and for three. Or is the party just for two? Oddly the picture on the remixed cover could also serve for another of Ms Twain's singles, man I feel like a woman! Touche!

Sisters Are Doin' It For Themselves - Eurythmics And Aretha Franklin

eurythmics aretha sisters remixeurythmics aretha sisters 1Now here's a thorny issue. What exactly is 'It' that Sisters Are Doin' For Themselves? According to Eurythmics And Aretha Franklin it could be a variety of things, but the cover of the original single doesn't help much, unless the answer to the question is typing. But that doesn't seem very liberated does it? We prefer to think that the true answer is having a night in, coloring each other's hair, as in our remixed artwork. Twindacious!

Summertime - Ella Fitzgerald And Louis Armstrong

ellla louis summertime remixellla louis summertime 1What would summer be without Summertime appearing on the radio at some point or other? Depending on whether you listen to Hot [insert number] or Easy [insert different number] will determine which version you hear but this classic from 1957 by Ella Fitzgerald And Louis Armstrong transcends radio formats (well mostly). Although it's nice to see a picture of Ella and Louis together, what makes summertime really great are beach babes. So the remix transcends all beach babe boundaries. Stretchy!

Red Dress - Alvin Stardust

alvin stardust red dress 2alvin stardust red dress 1We had never heard of Alvin Stardust either until we received this submission from Tony Peterson of Birmingham, England. Tony tells us that he was inspired by our remix of Red Dress by another British band, the Sugababes. This is a remix of Mr Stardust's 1974 single of the same name of which Tony says, 'the original cover had little red, and no dress and I wanted to fix it'. We think you've done a good job Tony. Thanks for your submission. Scarlet!

Should I Stay Or Should I Go - The Clash

clash should i stay or go 2clash should i stay or go 1Should I Stay Or Should I Go now? was the question asked by British punk rockers The Clash in this single from 1982. They go on to add, 'if I stay there will be trouble, if I go it will be double'. The original cover gives no indication of what is causing the band such a dilemma. The remix makes the after-show situation abundantly clear. Should the lady in the picture continue in her current line of activity (undressing), there will certainly be trouble. If the band leave her without paying the appropriate dues, it will be double. Double bubble!
