Whilst we were in 1984 (see yesterday's Van Halen remix), this song from Nu Shooz came to mind. The original cover art for I Can't Wait shows what exactly? A pedestrian crossing guy and some colored blobs (maybe meant to be traffic signals). What do we see in the remix? A hot chick in some 'nu shooz' who can't wait - but what is is that she can't wait for? You be the judge of that.

Many an air guitar has been played at discos across the nation when Van Halen's 1984 hit Jump blerted out of the loudspeakers. But the cover is taken from their album 1984 and does not demonstrate in any way, how to actually jump. So the remixed cover does this for you. What you obviously need to do is remove all your clothes and then launch yourself into the air, preferably in a garden or other public space.

If ever a song title was rife for a-remixing, it has to be Calvin Harris with his song Bounce (featuring Kelis). The original cover shows Mr Harris wearing some rather odd looking sunglasses that would appear to pretty much cut out all the light. The remix shows us why he needed them as he's obviously trying to shield his eyes from the de-light of the bouncy jiggling jugs of the pretty babe on the cover.

For some reason it is those classic old songs that are best suited to a remix of the covers. This is a 1959 song from Connie Francis but is still known today as Lipstick On Your Collar is as common today as it was then. Of course the outlook changes from a simple cover with some lipstick on it, to a hot naked chick with lipstick on. As they say on the old Chicken Box, 'keep the lipstick off your dipstick'. Good advice. Then again, maybe not.

In the 1960s there were lots of crazy new dances such as the Mash Potato and the Stomp. This was one of Chubby Checker's attempts to launch one, in this case Pony Time. The original cover shows Mr Checker demonstrating the various moves of the Pony Time. The remix shows a naked chick in high heel leather boots doing a pony impression of her own. Just don't ask where her pony tail is 'mounted'!

To the ladies, the picture of Errol Brown, the lead singer of Hot Chocolate might represent a sexy thing with his bald head and melancholy smile. For the boys, though, the idea of a Hot Chocolate Sexy Thing is probably more like the picture on the remixed cover of the single, a hot, chocolate, sexy thing. Either that, or a glass of hot milk and cocoa and an early night. We prefer to think of an early night with the hot chocolate shown in the remix!

Honey bring it close... bring it close to my lips, yeah! At least that is what Tori Amos told us in her 1996 dance-floor filler Professional Widow. But what does a professional widow look like? She would have to wear black and appear very meek but clearly look as if she could tear up any wills that weren't written in her favor. Does our remix do the job? We think it does!

We were having a bit of a 70s flashback in the office and enjoying The Trammps song Disco Inferno when it was suggested that the cover needed a thorough remixing. The cover shows a platform wedge heel shoe. Well that's probably very representative of 70s discos but in the 2010s things have changed. The first of our triple-play remix shows two near naked girls, wearing platform wedge heel shoes, boogying in some flames. The second shows a compilation of 17 naked babes all wearing platform wedge heel shows. Now if that isn't a disco inferno, we don't know what is. Roaring!

It seems that it's not only Mr Forrest who has a problem understanding what it takes to Rock The Boat. The original version by the Hues Corporation has an equally uninspiring cover showing the three members of the band. Although this is a good start, it is a poor end and what is really needed is a couple of hot chicks steering the boat. And guess what? That is exactly what the remixed cover shows. Our love is like a ship on the ocean!

In 1982 Forrest told us to Rock The Boat. But the cover of Mr Forrest's single would not rock anyone's boat, that is unless they happened to like beardy guys wearing dinner shirts and a false smile. What would rock the boat would be a couple of hot chicks steering it wearing much less, which is exactly what the remixed cover shows. Don't tip the boat baby!
